✨September✨ marks the start of a fresh for many - a new school year, a new season, new goals..

Or perhaps a chance to reflect on the year so far & consider what you’d like to achieve or improve before the end of the year 📌

For me it’s exercise 🙋🏽‍♀️ I’ve been making excuses for not exercising recently but the truth is my mood, hormones & energy levels are all better when I’m exercising regularly!

So back from a busy day today to a 30 min session with my best mate on & jobs a good ‘un! 🤩

What have you been putting off? Or what would you like to work on before the year is out?… start now! 🫵🏼

Thought this needed a permanent space on my page after I recommended in on my stories a few weeks ago 💡

I'm seeing more & more women choosing to come away from birth control, wanting to be more in touch with their cycle & hormones... (maybe it’s my age 👀)

& this book by is a great place to start learning not just the basics of your cycle/hormones, but also about the changes to your hormones throughout your cycle & how these may impact your mood, energy etc.

Just a reminder that if you feel like you’ve fallen off the wagon this weekend, or over done it, do not be tempted to punish yourself or restrict yourself as a result this week.

Life is too short! & this only creates poor habits in the long term!

Hydrate, eat your veggies & make sure your plate is full & balanced this week instead 🤗

Thoroughly enjoyed talking to members of The Breakfast Club this week & sharing some health and wellness tips in relation to energy levels, productivity & creativity!

And what a success it was! We saw lots of lovely new faces, and had a fantastic speaker who gave us all some brilliant insight into how we can manage our health and well-being to increase our energy, productivity and creativity. Thank you to all who came along. Look out for our next event in July!

What you eat and drink daily influences your general health and wellbeing, energy levels, skin health, mood, aging process, risk of disease & much more! 🤒

So when something goes wrong in any one of these areas, also consider whether what you're eating may be contributing to your symptoms, or preventing you from recovering.. 🐛

This is where I come in - together we look at not just your eating habits, but also your lifestyle, sleep, levels of stress & your health history in order to get an understanding of what has gotten you to where you are today and to ultimately get you feeling back to yourself again!

After all, what we do & eat daily can take our health one of two ways - better or worse 🌻

Did you know that there are around 500 millions neurons in your gut? 🤓

This is why the Enteric Nervous System (ENS) i.e. the nervous system of the gut, is sometimes referred to as the “second brain”.

The gut and brain communicate via the vagus nerve and this constant interaction is referred to as the gut-brain axis.

Research has found that the more ultra processed foods you eat, the greater your risk of depression ☔️

WHEREAS, research suggests that diets that contain more fiber, omega-3 fats and probiotics are associated with reduced risk of anxiety and depression!

Good news - the gut-brain communication is mediated via the gut microbiome which is pretty complex, but also really sensitive & therefore dietary changes can have an affect on the microbiome within days.

Food for thought…… literally!
