Travel Announcement!

CHB IS ON THE LIST!

From today, the Government have announced an updated version of the UKHSA List of COVID-19 Testing Providers.

We are delighted to maintain our place as a ‘listed provider’ after successfully completing all the UKHSA background checks.

As we all get used to living with COVID-19 it becomes more important than ever to keep everyone safe, particularly when travelling. That is why the UKHSA have carried out an audit of all testing providers to ensure clear visibility on practices and adherence to standards – basically checking that everyone that is on the list should stay on the list!

As of the 24th October, full vaccinated people including under 18's will be able to take a Lateral Flow Test on Day 2 after arriving in England from a non-red list country.

The Government are in the process of updating their list of approved providers so that Lateral Flow* Tests can be booked with confidence using listed companies, from the 22nd October.

Passengers will be required to upload a photo of their test for verification. Positive results MUST be followed by an NHS PCR Test and reported accordingly.

*Free NHS Lateral Flow Tests cannot be used for travel.
*We await further updates and details on under 18's.
*The rules for unvaccinated people and those returning from red list countries will not change in line with the above.

As part of our recent prize draw competition, we donated to Martin House Children's Hospice. We've since received a heart-warming message of thanks from the charity that we'd like to share. It is truly wonderful to hear how donations help create memories and experiences for the children, young people, and their families that will last a lifetime and beyond.

Talking about the return of one of the charity's most popular activities: Wetwheels! "Setting sail from the beautiful seaside town of Whitby, these trips out onto the open water provide our children and young people with an explosion of sensory experiences. The movement of the waves underneath the boat, the spray of the sea, and the wind in their hair can be incredibly stimulating for many of our children with limited sensory abilities or movement."

One of our incredible Care Team Leaders recently went on a trip with 15-year-old Ryan and said: "I was delighted to be able to experience the trip for myself and to see the confidence of Ryan alter so much within just a couple of hours was amazing. He said his main aim was to steer the boat and get us all soaking wet, and he certainly did just that!"⚓️🛥🌊😄
