Yoga Nidra is “Yogic sleep” and one hour of Yoga Nidra is said to equate to four hours sleep. Yoga Nidra encourages profound relaxation and effortlessness.
The term Yoga Nidra derives from two Sanskrit words, Yoga meaning union and Nidra meaning sleep. It’s a beautiful practice when one appears to be in a state of sleep, but the consciousness is working on a deeper level of awareness.
It’s a deep relaxation to harmonise the deeper unconscious and awaken inner potential to connect to a meditative state of being.
This systematic method of inducing complete mental, emotional and physical relaxation is suitable for all practitioners.
For a busy mind, Yoga Nidra enables to find stillness. It is a great way to bring calm, presence and peace for those who suffer from insomnia and those who are practicing on their mindfulness and awareness.

Shantiseva Vinyasa classes are spiritually taught classes and open to all students.
This uplifting class connects movement and breath through the practices of pranayama (breathing exercises), music (sound), chanting (mantras) and meditation.
The practice connects with the five healing nature elements; air, ether, fire, water and earth, and therefore brings grounding and balance within as well as our connection to nature and Mother Earth. The healing qualities of nature will lift our mental, physical and spiritual bodies.
Shantiseva Vinyasa classes also connects us with the spiritual practice of Seva (selfless practice) which is Karma yoga, the yoga of action, that brings together service with devotion to Bhakti and Shanti which is a Sanskrit term meaning “peace”.

Claire has over 25 years’ experience working with energy healing techniques.
She has used a pendulum for many years and has become very interested in its use for divination and healing using charts and is excited to be able to share her knowledge by running workshops here at The Isbourne Centre.
Whether you are struggling with health issues, financial difficulties, relationship issues or spiritual challenges, your subconscious mind knows EVERYTHING and always knows exactly what needs to released. This information can easily be accessed using energetic muscle testing. This system is perfect to use on children and animals and can be done distantly using a photograph, name and age.

Ashtanga Primary Series is also called Yoga Chikitsa, meaning Yoga therapy, because of the cleansing and toning effect it has on both body and mind. The Primary Series is an inward practise, noticing the body and stepping away from what goes on around you to find stillness in your mind and to focus on your breath.
Sunny will guide you through the Ashtanga Primary series which is suitable for beginners and the more advanced practitioners.
You will learn to follow a set sequence of postures (Asanas) building strength, flexibility and endurance in the physical body. It also realigns, loosens tight muscles and detoxifies the body and nervous system.
This class will leave you feeling balanced, grounded and uplifted in body, mind and soul.

In this unique workshop, James will introduce you to vocal homeopathy, and its processes by which the chakras are stimulated and re-tuned, clearing blockages and releasing fine energies.
Alongside the therapeutic use of voice, he will bring in embodiment practices with Chi Kung-like movements integrating them into the toning practices.
Finally, and complementary to the chakra work, you will experience samples of Taoist healing sounds/movements. Learning mantras for the subtle energy field, and drawing vocal sound within as a form of meditation.

A hub of wellbeing and spiritual development, running a variety of inspirational courses, workshops and talks
Originally founded in 1995, we remain one of the UK’s leading holistic organisations. We are committed to providing people with the tools, resources and encouragement to inspire happier, healthier and more positive lives.
The educational arm of the organisation was launched in 2014, providing holistic education with professional credibility to a wider audience. As well as developing and running a programme of Quality Endorsed and Accredited courses on a range of subjects, we also provide training for holistic practitioners to help them grow their own businesses and further their professional development.
The Isbourne boasts an impressive programme of distinguished guest speakers from across the UK (and beyond), and a packed schedule of regular classes for all ages and abilities. As a mark of quality all therapists practicing out of our therapy rooms must first be approved through an Affiliation process, and as a result we have a catalogue of over 100 recommended local practitioners offering a vast range of treatments and therapies.
We also offer a variety of services aimed at local businesses, including increasing the effectiveness of internal training and improving the wellbeing of staff. The Isbourne has a thriving outreach programme working with disadvantaged and vulnerable groups within our local community, including Gloucestershire Young Carers and the female prisoners at HMP Eastwood Park.
In addition, there are a wide variety of light and spacious rooms available to hire across the Regency terrace The Isbourne occupies, and members of the public are welcome to pop in any time to enjoy coffee, cake and lunches in our on-site café, browse our gift shop and pause for a while in our holistic library.
