About time we bust all the myths out there you’ve probably heard about reflexology:
"It's just a fluffy foot massage." Nope. It's mapped reflex points, not a pedicure.
"It only works if you believe in it." Reflexology isn't placebo - your nervous system doesn't lie.
"Reflexologists diagnose illness." We don't diagnose anything -we support balance + wellbeing.
"It's not safe in pregnancy." When done properly, it's amazing for mums-to-be.
"Only feet are treated." Hands, ears, and faces have reflexes too!
"You'll feel instant results after one session." Reflexology is a process - not a magic wand.
"Pain means it's working." No! Reflexology involves some discomfort but not the bad kind.
"All practitioners are trained the same." Spoiler: They're not. Ask where they trained (PS: make sure they’re at least level 3 and insured) and what CPD they have.
"It's woo-woo, not science." Studies show benefits for stress, sleep + pain.
“Reflexology cures everything." Nope. It's holistic and complementary, not snake oil.
Reflexology is real. The myths aren't.
Follow if you're done with fluff and want real holistic tools that work such as expert led reflexology.
If you’ve made it this far down, then drop me a foot 🦶🏼 to show me you’re a reflex fan!
