Aveso We offer advice, training and project management for Changing Places toilets projects, in the UK and worldwide.

Aveso have sponsored and supported Changing Places since 2013 and have been involved in installations from Windsor Castle to Singapore.. Initially set up as a joint venture between Astor Bannerman and OpeMed, both industry leaders with over 20 years of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of specialist changing equipment, Aveso was created to provide a complete top quality service and package to Changing Places toilet facilities. Without dedicated specialist Changing Places toilets across the country, carers and family have to meticulously plan every single trip out and even are forced to change and care for their loved ones in highly undignified and unsuitable conditions such as toilet floors. As a result, many less able people are confined to their homes. This is completely unacceptable and does not give everyone the same equal opportunities that many of us take for granted.

Whilst we have worked with more museums worldwide than anyone, even in the UK where per capita are the highest in the world, there is still a lot of work to be done. Yes museums are still resurfacing from Mr COVID, but the joy we see from families who simply couldn’t enjoy a museum before really resonates..

Contacts us on how we can make your museum truly accessible with Changing Places..

Delighted to visit our recent Changing Places project at the "world's home of cricket" ....
..having worked on similar projects at the Oval, at the Gabba in Brisbane, and the MCC, we are really glad to see the cricket world is doing its bit.... this is already trickling down to county Cricket stadiums (watch this space). Well done Marylebone Cricket Club, you don’t get bigger than Lords !! 🏏

To have such famous sporting locations invest in Changing Places UK really creates the momentum for smaller regional venues (as we saw when the English premiership football clubs installed our Changing Places UK over the last couple of years and the trickle down effect that we saw)...

Fans of cricket will love this facility that ensures no-one is excluded from witnessing (arguably) the most historic cricket stadium in the world.... well done to the team at Astor Bannerman for another install as always..

If you are involved with a stadium or sports club talk to us on how we can help. From Woolloongabba to Wimbledon, Aveso are the worlds experts at Changing Places in stadiums, hospitality and leisure …

Interesting headline today… and interesting to see more updates on the way to disabled facilities.. from our friends in the know, what will this entail?

The response to the Doc M to include Changing Places is now bedded in and we are daily seeing the benefits of going live, albeit we are still coming across architects and specifiers where awareness is still very much needed..

Bath Abbey, a magnificent historic building in the heart of Bath, had a Changing Places toilet installed last year to boost accessibility for its visitors. In common with a lot of historic buildings, the space was not ideal. It is a listed building, and the room itself had a low vaulted ceiling, making it difficult to install a full coverage hoist and attach other equipment to the walls.

Bath Abbey is an extreme case, but it has a lot in common with places of worship around the country, which often struggle to plan for the installation of Changing Places Toilets due to space and planning issues. Often, they offer a variety of services to the community, and welcome a wide range of people through their doors. Some also function as a community hub, offering space for local groups and meetings. It is therefore essential that as much as possible is done to make them accessible, and the addition of a Changing Places toilet can really help with that.

Read our Changing Places Toilet 'How To' guide for Places of Worship and Community hubs for guidance on how to successfully plan and design a Changing Toilet in these buildings...

Really enjoyed being a guest speaker to the biggest and most visionary football clubs in Europe at the European Football for Development Network this week ..

Personally, we were blown away by learning what the clubs have done in Covid (cooking for communities, caring, using their resources imaginatively) and indeed continue to do to their respective communities..

After supporting the Changing Places UK and Pamis campaign in the UK for over 8 years (most UK premiership and a growing number of championship football clubs now have at least one Changing Places room), we are putting a lot of energy now on replicating the UK success overseas, and there is no better starting point than the beautiful game...
.some great actions agreed and we look forward to making true accessibility a reality to football European wide in the very near future...

Thanks European Football for Development Network and Changing Places International for the stage…

Thanks Don't Pass the Buck, lovely to see this video....

Marsham Court Hotel Bournemouth have done fantastic things (with more to come) for accessibility and are pioneers within the hotel accessibility drive... it is nice to see the investment being appreciated .... 👏

We are proud to have worked with them on the design of this Changing Places UK , Marsham Court were keen for the room to be oversized and allow families enjoying the outside to be able to utilise the facilities on the ground floor....

191 Councils have said YES to Changing Places Toilets!!

Applications opened in September 2021 for Local Authorities to opt-in to receive a portion of the £30m of Government funding for Changing Places.

We, along with campaigners, Changing Places UK and thousands of disabled people and their families across the country wanted EVERY council in England to say YES to Changing Places by opting in. That is why we launched the 'Say YES to Changing Places' campaign.

We are thrilled that the first round of funding (totalling £23.5m) has been allocated and that so many councils have taken advantage of the opportunity. It will make a massive difference to the lives of disabled people across England.
