Now offering Cardioversion at the Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital.🫀

We are proud to share that we’ve completed our first Cardioversion theatre list, successfully carried out by Consultant Cardiologist Dr Ubaid and the theatre team.⭐

Cardioversion is a safe and effective procedure that works like a ‘reset’ for the heart, designed to correct a fast or irregular heartbeat and restore a normal, steady rhythm. This can be achieved through a controlled electrical impulse, significantly improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Join us for an upcoming free event with Orthopaedic Knee consultant Mr Gosal as he presents ‘Robotic Assisted versus Conventional Knee Replacement explained’

🗓️Taking place on Tuesday 17th February at 18:30, held at the Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital.

Christmas has officially arrived at Cheltenham Hospital! 🎅🎄❄️

On Wednesday, our amazing Sodexo Team treated staff to a delicious Christmas dinner, spreading festive cheer throughout the hospital.

To make the occasion even more special, our Heads of Department and Senior Management Team rolled up their sleeves and waited on staff hand and foot! We even had a surprise visit from Santa.🎅

What a fantastic way to celebrate the achievements of the past year and kick start the festive period.⭐

On Friday, we had the pleasure of visiting the Cheltenham Critical Care Unit to present a cheque to the charity, following an incredible fundraising event from Simon, one of our ODPs in theatre.

In September, Simon completed an impressive 70-mile bike ride around the Cotswold’s with other colleagues from the theatre department, raising a fantastic £805.

We are delighted to be able to support such a wonderful local charity. Pictured are Simon and the dedicated medical team at the Cheltenham Critical Care Unit.💚💙

Meet Dr Ben Corden, consultant Cardiologist, now practicing at the Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital.

We are pleased to have Dr Corden on board, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge in Cardiology, with a special interest in:

🫀General Cardiology (breathlessness, chest pain, palpitations, faints/blackouts)
🫀Heart Failure
🫀Cardiomyopathy (including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy)
🫀High blood pressure
🫀Sports cardiology
🫀Inherited cardiovascular conditions

Dr Corden is the Clinical Lead for Heart Failure in Gloucestershire and a key member of the regional Inherited Cardiac Conditions Service.
