Why do I warm up like this?
My warm up is simple but effective and I always follow exactly the same routine👇🏻
I start with getting my head into race mode - a few hip focused stretches and a gentle 5 minute spin on the bike to create some body heat and get my kreb cycle going.
Straight into some harder bike efforts. This is to create lactic acid and raise my heart rate - for me, I have to hit above 151bpm🫀
I finish off with a quick run, with 2 x 20s sprints then straight into some glute activation work like lunges.
I also incorporate some explosive movements to activate my fast twitch fibres⚡️
Then it’s off to the start line, ready to go.
