Obviously yoga asana is incredible for your body and mind: matching movement to breath, focusing on the moment, moving energy around your body and sending love to what and where it needs.
But it’s so much more than that. Asana is only the beginning. For me, the philosophy was a revelation when I did my own Yoga Teacher Training.
The philosophy is the wise, compassionate friend that never judges and is always there for you, no matter how long it’s been since you checked in.
If your yoga practice is solely asana at the moment, I would really encourage you to dip into the philosophy - just for fun, for interest’s sake, maybe for your sanity’s sake too.
