Missed posting for a week or two.
With work, Christmas preparations, spot of long awaited DIY and the lurgy (not flu thankfully)it’s been non stop.

We continue to support UK Medical & Event Services Christmas at Blenheim Palace 2025 | 14th Nov 2025 - 4th Jan 2026. What a team!

Cross country run in Oxford yesterday, cover at gatewayicerink through until Jan, Shipston Rotary Victorian Evening last Friday and end of season for Monkton Combe School Rugby to name just a few. Busy busy busy.

Training courses both onsite and open in Bourton. And remember we don’t just do first aid training:

Manual handling (including people)
Health and Safety
Fire
Mental Health
Outdoor First Aid
Mini Medics
Bleeding
Risk Assessment
Safeguarding
Basic First Aid
Baby First Aid

the list goes on….

All vehicles services and MOT’d for a while now.

Whether you think it’s right, wrong or scare mongering, please follow the guidance. As health care professionals ourselves, we are struggling, not only personally with illness, but our work load has dramatically increased due to covering others that are sick.
And I am sure this is the same for lots of other people. And last thing we want is people being unwell at Christmas if at all.

😷 Face masks in our direct assessment areas

To help protect patients, visitors and staff during increased respiratory illness, we are asking patients and relatives to wear a surgical face mask when entering our direct assessment areas at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital, wherever you are able to do so.

Masks are available at department entrances. If you cannot wear one, please let a member of staff know on arrival. These are temporary steps.

❌ If you have symptoms of flu or COVID‑19, please do not visit our hospitals.

You may recall Mr Cotswold recieved an Unsung Hero Award earlier in the year for his 10+ years service as a volunteer responder for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. This week he was invited to Cotswold District Council for a celebration of all this years UnSung Heros for a Christmas drink (non alcoholic of course)
