Does anyone have or know someone that has a large PICKUP or 4x4 that is free this Saturday please?

It is for a vehicle pull in 1 of the events during the Amateur Strongman Competition that we are running at Simply Gym in Cheltenham.

I understand it's short notice, but we have been let down right at the last minute by the dealership that were originally providing us with the vehicle's and are now desperately in search of a replacement.

TOP 3 EXERCISES FOR BUILDING THE LATS

Here's my top 3 exercises to help build size, definition and strength in the LATS

First up the STRAIGHT BAR PIVOT ROW, an awesome and powerful exercise that helps strengthen your core as well as build your back (I use smaller plates when doing this in order to gain a bigger range of movement).

Second, the SEATED ROW, if done properly you can fully inflate and develop the lats with this exercise, truly a piece of kit that needs to be used in every back workout.

And Thirdly, my favourite finisher, MAG BAR LAT PULL DOWNS. They're called lat pull downs for a reason, because they give you the best engagement and range of movement through your lats, and are a phenomenal way to finish off your back session, and pump up the width.

So there they are, go give them a try yourself.

Myth Busting: FAT FREE PRODUCTS

Just because it says FAT FREE doesn't always mean that it's good for you.
Remember the manufacturers want you to keep buying the products so they will add ingredients to make it more appealing.

TOP 3 EXERCISES FOR THE QUADS

You guys asked for it, so here's my top 3 exercises to help build size, definition and muscular endurance in the QUADS.

First up the HACK SQUAT, a brutal and yet super effective exercise to help hit the whole lower body and core. However I find it really handy for tearing my quads to bits.

Second, the LEG EXTENSION, precise and efficient at ripping the thighs to shreds (in a good way), this movement also allows you to isolate certain sections for when you want to enhance definition.

And Thirdly, my favourite finisher, HEEL RAISED SISSY SQUATS, it gives you a brutal burn and a fantastic pump.

So there they are, go give them a try yourself.

Smashed a little CHEST session yesterday with my client, so thought I'd get him to video it and share it with you all. Really trying to finally grow some volume in my whole chest.

The session goes,

Flat Bench 5 x 5
Cable Flys } 3x 8
Cable Crossover Press 8
SA Upper Chest Raises } 3 x 8 each arm
EZ Bar Upper Chest Raise 8
Decline Machine Flys 3 x 10
Machine Chest Press 2 x 12
Cross Body Press 2 x 8 each arm

Giving these short from a test run, and just grinding out some press ups to finish me off after a quick little chest session.

After a busy morning they are super comfy to wear whilst working (training clients), so I thought I'd smash a quick half hour chest session out and see how they feel whilst exercising. I've got to say they are LIGHT, AIRY and PERFECT for a lifting sesh, they didn't feel restrictive in anyway.

The real test will be in spin tonight for the shorts and leggings, ROLL ON 7PM 💪😜👍

When you jump in on a leg session with your client, to only look up and see them taking your photo. You ask them "why?" and they say because the pure GRIT and DETERMINATION they see when I lift INSPIRES them to train HARDER and DIG DEEPER so they wanted me to see what they see.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

To all of you amazing dad's who are out there today is for you, not just the 1's who are with us but also the 1's who are waiting for us and watching over us, HAPPY FATHERS DAY everyone 🥰👍

Just so you understand, I heart wrenchingly lost my SUPER DAD when I was 11 years old and I am now the same age as he was when he past away (39), and even after all this time coping without him around has never gotten easier, however you do learn to cope with it better.

He was the most amazing human being, he loved every single 1 of his 2 families (that's us and the police force by the way) with everything he had, and even though he was a truly gifted Police Officer, he was an absolutely PHENOMENAL dad, who gave so much time and energy to raise us in the best and happiest way possible. He was, is and always will be my SUPER HERO and BIGGEST INSPIRATION.

So everything you see me do, every once of positivity I throw at you all, the way I train my clients and myself, and the way I strive to be the very best I can be is because of this man,
