It is widely debated as to the role that stretching may play in injury prevention. However, from personal experience I am a firm believer that stretching especially post exercise (the appropriate musculature as not everyone gets the same tight bits!)reduces muscle soreness and therefore promotes recovery. It also increases flexibility therefore increases joint range of motion which for most of us is good news.
(The clinic is closed until Friday now but if necessary I can take bookings for when I return.)
