A little bit of a different post, but I had to share a visit we did to cafe in that torrential storm yesterday

I’ve known about this incredible charity for a few years & many of my friends have had the need to use the services

So when a friend, who now works for them, told me they were opening a cafe & social space I had to go & visit

What we found was a calm, relaxing space where you can meet for coffee, cake, paninis, jacket potato or even a full breakfast.

And a big surprise, there was the biggest range of options to make everything vegan (a lot of places could learn from Charlie’s cafe)
And they even had gluten free bread.

The staff were lovely, friendly & really helpful

But it’s more than just a cafe!
There’s a full size pool table you can play on - for free
There’s lots of pretty things to buy on the displays around the space

And they have regular workshops, craft fayres & fun things going on

And so many sessions for those who need support after a cancer diagnosis - or for those who are supporting a patient

Give them a follow on Instagram, Facebook etc & definitely get along and show support by having a cuppa, buying raffle tickets 🎟️, buying some gifts or just making a donation

Yes!
It’s that time of year that you drag out all those gifts you bought in the sale & now realise aren’t suitable for the person you bought them for.

And you find those gifts you’ve been given, that you’ve never used

Instead of shoving them back in the cupboard, consider donating to my collection of unwanted gifts 🎁

At the end of January each year I do a pilgrimage over to to deliver a car full (hopefully) of items they can use for raffles, tombolas & auctions, to raise funds for their superb facility.

They are also grateful for used stamps too, so don’t bin them!

Ideas of things they would be happy to accept:
Smellies - unopened (could have been part of a set)
Trinkets
Food & drink - in date
Candles
Games
Toys
Picture frames

And so much more.

I am starting the collection early this year, so feel free to drop off at your next appointment or contact me to arrange a drop off.

I’ve been busy recently updating my training

It’s so important to keep on top of changes to the industry & treatment protocols

So, I spent the day with for an update on Manual Lymph Drainage massage techniques so I can better help the many clients I have going through cancer or dealing with post cancer issues.
Also great for generally helping boost the body’s lymphatic system

Also, I’ve added Korean Lash Lift to my repertoire. I will be practicing this technique before offering it out to clients in the new year.

The studio is closed on Nov 4th whilst I go on a training day

Many years ago I started offering treatments to people going through cancer treatment & for those who were dealing with the after effects of surgery & therapies.

Over the years I’ve added to my skillset and this years number of clients & friends who have had to deal with cancer has prompted me to update my training

Watch out for more information in the next few weeks.

I can’t believe how close Christmas is!!

If you haven’t booked your appointments for the rest of 2025 please check your diary & get in touch.

There are very few appointments now available near Christmas.

And anyone who would like a regular appointment for 2026, please get in touch to arrange them.
There’s already quite a few appointments in the diary, so your preferred day/time combo may already be taken, but there’s always other options.

Absolute carnage on the A40 Gloucester Rd, around the Esso garage - Granley Rd - Griffiths Ave area.

No idea what they are doing as there didn’t seem to be anything going on today - except for the queues & queues of traffic!

Please consider going round the back roads and leaving a bit extra time to arrive for appointments until they decide to move them!
