There are many great benefits to Vitamin D, especially in these gloomy winter months. It's nice to see the topic getting some attention in the media at the moment!

It was one of the subjects of my dissertation, so you may well have had me slip this into conversation already - but with associated symptoms like fatigue, lower back pain, mood changes and recurrent illness, it's worth talking to someone about.

It has long been suspected that vitamin D could help reduce the risk of developing an autoimmune disease, and now we have evidence this is the case – at least for people over 50
