Celebrating Romanian Culture Through Food!

Our supported individuals had the wonderful opportunity to experience a taste of Romania — and what a delicious evening it was! ❤️

A massive thank you to our amazing support worker Elena, who prepared a traditional Romanian goulash with polenta, all from scratch. Her skills, care, and passion truly shone through every step of the way. And who better to lead this culinary adventure than Elena herself — a true Romanian expert! 👩‍🍳✨

A big shout-out as well to our three gentlemen, who all contributed toward the ingredients and fully embraced the experience. The smiles, the conversations, and the shared enjoyment made it a night to remember.

🎄🎅 Santa’s Workshop Comes to Life! 🍫✨

K and our amazing staff team rolled up their sleeves and got straight into the Christmas spirit! Together, they helped make lots of hot chocolate and marshmallow Christmas cones ready for the upcoming Gloucester Christmas Party.

As you’ll see from the photos, the table looked just like Santa’s workshop — chocolate, marshmallows, ribbon, and smiles everywhere! We even had time to make some Christmas tree lollipops, adding an extra festive touch to the day. 🎁🌲

K tasted one of the lollies… which promptly turned his tongue bright green! 😂💚

A huge well done to everyone involved — the Christmas spirit is definitely alive and shining! ✨🎄🎅

🌴✈️ R’s Tenerife Adventure! ☀️🐻

Our supported individual R has just enjoyed a fantastic holiday to Tenerife, with support from Reuben — and what an unforgettable trip it was! From the sunshine to the beautiful views, R made the very most of every moment.

And of course… we can’t forget Columbus the bear, who secretly tagged along for the adventure! 🐻✨ Columbus loved exploring just as much as R did!

We’re so happy to see R experiencing new places, enjoying the warm weather, and making wonderful memories. A big well done to Reuben for the great support throughout the trip. 🌞💙

🥧✨ Baking Success for T! ✨🥧

Supported individual T spent the day putting his baking skills to the test — and what a fantastic job he did!

T started his morning by writing down all the ingredients he needed to make a lemon meringue pie, with a little support along the way. After that, he headed to the supermarket, where he confidently found each item on his list. 📝🛒

Back home, T got stuck into the baking, and the results were incredible! He really enjoyed the whole process and was so proud of his achievement — and rightly so! 🍋☁️

Well done, T! We’re all very impressed with your hard work and delicious creation. 👏💛

🍽️ Exciting New Activity at Home! 🌍

Our Supported Individuals have started a fun new activity at home where the gentlemen choose a different country every fortnight and plan and cook a traditional meal from there.

Tonight’s choice was Italy, and of course that could only mean Pizza Night! 🍕

The gentlemen were supported to buy ingredients, including ready-made pizza bases. Each of them created their own toppings before cooking their pizzas in the oven — and they looked (and smelled!) amazing.

Next up, they plan to explore dishes from China, Greece, and Romania. We can’t wait to see what culinary adventures await! 👨‍🍳✨

A enjoyed visiting a number of shops and took part in a meaningful and engaging activity at Build-A-Bear. A selected a teddy, assisted with the stuffing process, and was very proud to receive a birth certificate for his new bear, which he named Flower.🌸

🎉 Our First Saracen Say It Forum – What a Success! 🧡

On Friday 31st October, we hosted our very first Saracen Say It forum at our Swindon office — and what a fantastic afternoon it was!

People we support, their families, and our amazing staff came together for a fun, relaxed event full of conversation, creativity, and collaboration.

✨ Here’s what we got up to:
📚 Jodie and Rachel led our Books Beyond Words corner, sparking great discussions around storytelling and communication.
💻 Ashleigh introduced everyone to Open Future Learning, giving hands-on demos of interactive tools that support personal development.
👥 Our Chat Zone was buzzing with feedback and new ideas — thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts on how we can make Saracen even better.
🎨 And of course, Ben’s Craft Station brought plenty of fun, colour, and laughter.

A big thank you to Alex, our friendly greeter, and to our Care Managers and Team Leaders for helping make the event such a success.

🎃👻 Spooktacular Halloween Fun in Gloucestershire! 👻🎃

What an amazing Halloween party we had for the people we support here in Gloucestershire! 🕸️🦇 There were fantastic costumes, frightfully good music, and plenty of treats (and maybe a few tricks!).

A huge thank you to Carole G and Carol W for organising such a brilliant event — your hard work and creativity made it a party to remember! 🧡

It’s always wonderful to see everyone laughing, dancing, and enjoying time together. Until next year… stay spooky! 🕷️🎶
