Cheltenham's specialist dementia nursing home.

Wentworth Court opened in May 2015 and is the only care home in Cheltenham dedicated to providing dementia nursing care. The experienced and empathetic team offer both long-term residential and nursing care for those who need daily assistance as well as shorter-term respite care. Wentworth Court recognises that every resident has a specific set of individual needs and takes into account each resident’s medical history, as well as their life story, personality, preferences and interests. The attractive home has modern, spacious and light bedrooms, decorated to an extremely high standard and equipped with en-suites. Facilities also include landscaped gardens, a roof terrace, a patisserie café, hairdressing salon, cinema screening space and relaxation and family rooms. The nursing team provides high-quality medical care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, supported by local partnerships with GPs, opticians, dentists, dieticians, physiotherapists and chiropodists.

Sometimes it's the smallest pleasures that bring the most joy ☺️ Which was certainly the feeling with our recent gentlemen's outing to the local pub!

Being surrounded by the atmosphere, the smells and that wonderful banter as you order your own pint is one of the most wonderful experiences we can give to some of our residents 🍻😁 It unlocks such powerful memories of a life lived well and we'll always take so much personal happiness from being part of these moments ✨

It’s always such a wonderful day to share the celebrations and when there’s a delicious homemade cake in a favourite flavour… it’s even better 😋🎂

We’re starting the week with a joyful look back at all the special moments from the past few days here at Wentworth Court 🤩

It was such a heart-warming celebration as we marked Malcolm’s birthday!🥳 Filled with emotion, he received a beautiful homemade cake from Manuela, our Head Chef, a birthday card from everyone, and so much birthday love all around him 🎂🥰

With Spring well and truly in the air, we made the most of the sunshine and treated some of our lovely ladies to coffee and cake at a local café ☕🍰

We rounded off the week in the best way with our ‘Keep Fit Friday’ class! Movement, no matter how small, is so important and even more enjoyable when shared with friends in our upstairs lounge and cinema room ⚽✨

Keep your eyes peeled for our gentlemen’s visit to the local pub… 🍻

📗✨Welcome to the wonder of World Book Day featuring our fabulous residents and the wonderful pupils from Hesters Way Primary School! 🤩One of the best days enjoyed by everyone, even our quietest residents 😊

With the children dressed as their favourite characters and bringing along their best-loved books to read together with our residents, the Wentworth Court Atrium was soon filled with laughter and the loveliest chatter. 🥰

The children also designed their own colourful bookmarks, and our residents loved the super important job of choosing the winners! 🎨🔖🏆

A big thank you to Danielle and everyone at Hesters Way Primary School for bringing such joy to our home. Moments like these truly show the magic of bringing generations together. ❤️✨

What a glorious afternoon celebrating the Hindu festival of Holi! 🌸🌈

Led by our beautiful Housekeeper, Tarla, this wonderful festival marks the arrival of spring and symbolises love, joy and new beginnings through colour.🎨🌺

Decorating each other with brightly coloured powders brought so much happiness to everyone. Laughter filled every corner of the home, and the sense of friendship and togetherness was truly magical ✨🥰

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Tarla for organising such a fabulous celebration and for treating us to freshly prepared traditional dishes 😋 We’ll definitely be asking for that cake recipe! 🍰

We recently had a fantastic visit from super-fit Matt from G Fitness! 💪 Not only does Matt bring incredible energy (and a cheeky smile that certainly doesn’t go unnoticed by some of our lovely residents😉), but he’s also absolutely brilliant at encouraging gentle, inclusive movement for everyone.⚽🙌

Hand–eye coordination activities using a soft foam ball kept everyone engaged, active, and smiling. 😊

Gentle movement that’s fun and interactive is so important for our residents’ wellbeing, and Matt always makes sure every session is accessible, enjoyable, and filled with laughter. 😁

We can’t wait to welcome him back again soon!

There’s only one way to describe Pancake Day yesterday… Flipping Fantastic Fun! 😄🥞

Our brilliant residents, alongside our expert helper Mark, proved that you’re never too old to enjoy the challenge of flipping a pancake on Shrove Tuesday! 🙌

Smiles all round, plenty of laughter, and some impressive flipping!! And as for Mark’s starring role as Mr Pancake Face… nice try, Mark — but a pancake disguise isn’t fooling anyone! 😉🕵️We could still spot that cheeky grin behind it!😁

A Valentine’s Day filled with love and truly precious moments 💕

Our hearts are so full after such a special afternoon bringing residents, loved ones and families together for a beautiful Valentine’s tea.

The room was filled with warmth as everyone enjoyed delicious homemade cakes lovingly prepared by our wonderful Head Chef, Manuela, accompanied by the most beautiful music from our talented harpist. 🎂🪉

For families living with dementia, moments like these mean so much. Music that stirs memories and the comfort of familiar faces can spark connection in the most gentle and meaningful ways. 🥰

It was an incredibly moving afternoon ♥️ Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it so special ❤️✨

The weather may be cold and rainy outside, but inside our Cheltenham dementia care home, it’s bright colours, beautiful flowers, and our lovely residents enjoying each other’s company. 🌸✨It’s the quiet sense of achievement in arranging flowers to bring joy to others that is so special.

Sometimes it’s the simplest pleasures that bring the greatest moments of contentment. A shared laugh, a creative moment, a beautiful bouquet made with care.💐😊

That’s why we take the time to truly get to know each of our residents, their life stories, their likes and dislikes, and most importantly, what brings them comfort and calm. Because when care is personal, moments of happiness and pride happen so naturally.🥰
