I am a qualified Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga teacher but I am also heavily influenced by my training in Anusara and Embodied Flow as taught by my teacher Tara Judelle. I strongly believe in the transformational power of yoga as I have experienced first hand the life changing effect it can have on you. My classes are designed to help you achieve a fitter, more flexible and spacious body and I focus on the power of the breath to create a calm and centered mind. My wish is for my students to move from the inner body, to step down from the head into the space of the heart, for them to experience pure awareness without judgement and to discover and connect to the inner joy that exists within us.

4 Studio spaces left for Yoga Nidra this Thursday 7.15-8.15 pm at Chepstow Yoga Space (also available via Zoom). 15-20 minutes of Breathwork, Yin / Restorative postures to prepare your body and mind for deep Yogic rest followed by 40/45 minutes in Savasana, swaddled in a blanket, surrounded by candlelight. With the sound of soft singing bowls playing in the background, I will guide you through practices that will systematically take you into a very deep and restorative rest.

This practice is profoundly relaxing for the nervous system and clinical studies have shown it to be hugely beneficial for anxiety, mild depression and insomnia. These studies show improvements in red blood cell count, blood glucose levels, cellular function and a regulation to the hormonal system. The benefits cannot be overstated. So much gain for so little effort.

Our second week of finding the discipline to practice at least once a week and, once you get on the mat, to be disciplined about the way you are practicing. Are you presencing yourself entirely to what you are doing or are you allowing yourself to check out and just go through the motions? How are y...

Yogis this week we start a new 7 week theme entitled Discipline. I know it's not a sexy title but it's a crucial theme if we really want change in our life. Realising you want things to change, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual is the first step but just enquiring about a class will not...

Yogis our penultimate week of using our practice to Change the Narrative. It's not, because that is what we are doing every time we step on the mat, but under this umbrella theme, we are very specifically letting it be our intention. When we spotlight our own narrative we have the power to change it...

You know that feeling when you’re exhausted? Done. You don’t think you’ve got anything left …. well you have! There’s always more! I'm not suggesting we should always push ourselves to our limit but I definitely think we sell ourselves too short. Quit before we need to. Or at least I often...

Yogis! Let's be bold and courageous! Staying small is costing us more than we know! We can be strong and powerful as our individual self whilst recognising our connection to universal Self. What a powerful combination ... the limitless potential of source packed into this human container.

Yogis! Let's get back to it. A new 7 week theme begins tomorrow. I could have called this upcoming theme a whole manner of things … Expand Your Awareness, Shift Perspective, Alter Your Reality … the title is really unimportant but the sentiment behind it is everything. I’ve realised recently w...

This week we honour the heart's rhythm, the heartbeat that suddenly starts 5 to 6 weeks after conception. The pulsation, the 'dub dub' sound of the heart which is the expansion and contraction that pushes oxygenated blood to every part of the body and returns deoxygenated blood back to the heart. Th...

Namaste

I have a passion for teaching all aspects of Yoga. My own practice, having developed over many years, has had a life changing effect on me. I have done many and varied trainings over the years and I bring all of this into my classes but I teach from experience. Knowing the impact Yoga has had on every aspect of my life fuels my purpose, my teaching comes from a felt sense of this practice and not just from a text book and as such I want to make this practice available to all. I therefore keep my prices low - a 1 hour class is just £6, a 1.5 hour class £8 and a 2 hour class just £10. I also offer a community class each week where you are able to pay whatever you can afford. Please check out my website www.lornayoga.com or click on Book Now for the class schedule.
