Day 3 in Monte Carlo for the EssilorLuxottica Switch event… and wow, what a day.

From mind-blowing lectures on the future of optical tech (truly unimaginable innovations coming soon!), to a sunny reset in the Transitions Sun Garden ☀️, every moment inspired us. We had the absolute privilege of sharing our business model with the global contingent, championing holistic, preventative, and truly patient-centred care- where your passion lies!

A quick rooftop “debrief” at the Fairmont Monte Carlo (we could get used to that!), then straight into an unforgettable closing gala dinner.

Grateful doesn’t even cover it. We had an A-team both on stage and behind the scenes, and connected with incredible opticians from around the world- Australia, Singapore, South Africa and Lithuania to name a few who we were truly inspired by.

What an experience. 💫 Who knew there were 72 hours in a day?! Off for a snooze 😴

👓✨ Big news at The Optical People. Dan has entered the room!

Our fantastic dispensing optician and practice manager, Dan, is aiming higher and has started his 18-month journey to become a fully qualified Contact Lens Optician!

He is now in the consulting room once a week, gaining hands-on experience under supervision. We’re so grateful for your support and patience as Dan hones his skills- trainee sessions may take a little extra time, but trust us, it’ll be worth it! 🙏

Once qualified, Dan will be able to offer a whole new range of services, from custom contact lenses to participation in dry eye clinics and even handling emergency cases like red eyes. 👁

We can’t wait to see Dan’s growth and the even better care he’ll be able to provide you all! Stay tuned for more updates! 🌟

Emma and Nick have just returned from an incredible week in Austria, diving into everything Silhouette Eyewear 👓✨

Hosted by and .of.silhouette, the trip was packed with inspiration—from exploring the factory and showrooms to learning about the innovative materials and strong focus on sustainability behind every frame.

Fun fact: all of the water used in manufacturing is sourced from their own well, an then reused! 🤯

Emma, our highly experienced dispensing optician, and Nick, our expert lab manager, brought back valuable insights that help us continue delivering the very best recommendations and products tailored to you.
