At Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home we were delighted to present Runnymede Dementia Carers Support with this cheque, supporting this local charity for their incredible work they do everyday.

"We provide opportunities for carers and their loved one to have a social life together, and with others. Something which is often difficult due to the nature of this illness".

Children's Hospital Pyjamas collect donations of brand new pyjamas, from the public, which they then donate to Hospitals, Hospice, School Hospital Teams and Women's Refuge. These are then given to poorly or less fortunate children who are inpatients. Staff at Chertsey Parklands took the decision to not only donate some money, to purchase pyjamas with, but also to dress up to recognise the day.

Yesterday our residents enjoyed a truly special visit, a Birds of Prey experience, right here at the care home. Residents had the chance to learn fascinating facts, ask questions and for the brave ones hold a bird on their arm.

🌙 We’re collecting new pyjamas for the Children’s Hospital Pyjamas Charity! 💖

We’re proud to support this wonderful cause that brings comfort to children spending time in hospital.

👕 How you can help:
🩵 Donate new pyjamas (sizes newborn to young adult)
📍 Drop them off at our reception

Our team will be showing their support on 7th November 2025 by wearing pyjamas to work — and you’re welcome to join in the fun!

Our residents enjoyed some quality time watching the movie Mr Turner in the cinema room today. Comfy chairs, big screen, popcorn and lots of smiles.

Today, our residents and staff came together, wearing anything pink that they could get their hands on, to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We have been selling raffle tickets all week, and along with other donations, we raised £308 for an important cause.
A big thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the day so special.
