Recently, we received a new delivery of wonderful paintings from the students at Chertsey High School! These paintings are currently displayed on the walls of our waiting room and corridors, and the new artwork will be installed in our patient bedrooms in the new year.

We want to say a huge thank you to the students of Chertsey High School for all their hard work in making Runnymede Hospital a more friendly, welcoming place, and their kind art teacher Katrina for helping arrange the pictures. Meet Mr Joshua Jacob, a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working at Runnymede Hospital.

Mr Jacob specialises in sports injuries and joint replacements, specifically for hips and knees. He offers treatments for conditions such as hip arthritis, knee bursitis, soft tissue injuries and hip and knee pain.

Mr Jacob is active in research, with current interests including new techniques in knee preservation, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, and meniscal (cartilage) repair. He has published extensively on knee surgery, trauma and sports injuries and joint replacement and has presented both nationally and internationally. He is a keen teacher and continues to teach and supervise the training of postgraduate knee surgery for Specialist Registrars.

Recently, the Runnymede Theatre team celebrated two huge milestones: achieving re-accreditation from the National Joint Registry (NJR) and the Joint Advisory Group (JAG)!

Theatre Manager, Mikaela, congratulated her team with the following statement:

“Congratulations on this truly well-deserved success! Achieving the NJR Gold Standard three years in a row is a significant milestone. This achievement is possible because of the collective effort and collaboration of the Orthopaedic Team, Aimee, and Mel. You all deserve the recognition!

Similarly, a heartfelt congratulations to everyone for achieving JAG accreditation - a testament to our dedication and commitment to excellence in patient care. A special thank you to Dr Evans for his invaluable support and guidance throughout this process. Your contribution has been instrumental in helping us reach this achievement. Well done, everyone!”
