Tonight was a special one — Shannon was recognised as a finalist for Carer of the Year, and we couldn’t be more proud. It couldn’t have gone to someone more deserving. Her kindness, reliability and the way she looks after every client truly sets the standard.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Shannon as part of Visiting Angels.

And what a lovely way to end the conference this evening.

We’re creating our very first Visiting Angels Moments That Matter calendar — celebrating the heart of care in our community.

We’re inviting you to send us a photo that captures what care means to you — those moments of kindness, compassion, or connection that make a difference every day.

12 winning photos will feature in our 2026 calendar

The overall winner will receive £100 and their image will be featured on the front cover

Donations will go to Dementia UK

Entries open 10th November and close 24th November

🕊️ Remembrance Sunday 🕊️

Today, we join our community in a moment of reflection and gratitude — honouring all those who served and sacrificed so that we may live in peace and freedom.

At Visiting Angels South Bucks, we are proud to care for a generation who remember those times first-hand. Their stories remind us daily of the courage, resilience, and love that define true service.

We will remember them. ❤️

Don’t forget — the clocks go BACK this weekend!

This Sunday (26th October), the clocks go back one hour as we say goodbye to British Summer Time.

That means an extra hour in bed — or a little more time for a warm cuppa and a cosy morning! ☕🛏️

It’s also a great reminder to:
✅ Check on older neighbours or loved ones who might find the change confusing
✅ Make sure timers, alarms, and heating are set correctly
✅ Take a few moments to rest and recharge
