The Parish Council has arranged an event at Chesham Bois Burial Ground for visitors on the afternoon of Saturday 20th September as part of the annual Heritage Open Days Week 2025.

A short service of remembrance and reflection will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. If you wish to attend the service, please notify the Clerk (tel. 01494 432585) as space is limited.

The Parish Council has adopted a long term management plan for hedgerows in Chesham Bois Burial Ground with advice from the team, part of The Chiltern Society.
The hedgerow between the woodland and the new formal areas was laid this winter and the work was completed in six days. Our thanks go to everyone involved.
Later this year, we plan to lay the hedges either side of the entrance to the new formal (middle) section of the cemetery.

Chesham Bois Burial Ground was established in 1924. Join us for a short Service of Remembrance in the Chapel at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, 14th Sept. to mark the 100th anniversary. The photos below were taken in the cemetery today and the beautiful vase of sunflowers placed in the Chapel. Location: Bois Moor Rd., HP5 ISU ('hidden' entrance through the railway arch).

As part of the national Heritage Open Days week this year we are hosting an event at Chesham Bois Burial Ground (est. 1924) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 14th September 2024. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the chapel at 2.30 p.m.

Due to the timing of the Buckinghamshire Memorial Service for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, Chesham Bois Parish Council has decided to cancel the Burial Ground Heritage Open Day on Saturday, 17th September. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

The Memorial Service will take place at 3 p.m. this Saturday and is to be live-streamed for those who have not received an invitation to attend. Link below:

Chesham Bois Parish Council is deeply saddened at the news that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll died at Balmoral Castle on Thursday, 8th September 2022.

A Statement from King Charles lll has been posted on the Royal Family website along with an online Book of Condolence.
