🍂Homeopathic Support Through the Changing Seasons
As the seasons shift, our bodies and emotions often feel the change too. Moving from summer into autumn, or winter into spring, can sometimes bring lowered immunity, fatigue, mood shifts, allergies, or even skin flare-ups. This is also a time of going back to school in the northern hemisphere, so our relaxed state during the summer holidays is disrupted and we need to 'get in line' again and be more focused and organised. It takes time to adjust and many kids struggle with this for the first few days or even weeks, especially if they are starting at a new school.
Homeopathy works gently to support you during these transitions – not just on a physical level, but emotionally too.
Here are a few remedies that can help:
Nux vomica – supports digestion when rich autumn foods or changes in routine upset the system. Symptoms can include irritability and constipation.
Arsenicum album – often helpful when colder, damp weather brings on coughs, colds or anxiety. (There are many other remedies that can be taken for coughs, depending on the type of cough!) Symptoms are diarrhea or general stomach upsets, anxiety and worse between midnight and 2 am.
Sepia – supports emotional balance and gives energy when you feel sluggish, irritable, or low in motivation as the days grow shorter. This is a lovely hormone balancer too for those teens.
Sulphur – helpful for skin flare-ups that are hot and itchy and appear during the change in the seasons.
Also consider Petroleum for deep cracks in the skin, worse for cold or Graphites which has dry, rough skin.
Every person experiences seasonal shifts differently – which is why homeopathy is individualised to match your symptoms, both physical and emotional.

Don't forget to take care of your gut health which can help to avoid any coughs and colds. Keep sugar consumption low and stick to home cooked dishes prepared from scratch instead of fast or processed food. This will help to support your microbiome which is where the majority of your immunity resides. ☺️
