💙 Thank You for 13 Wonderful Years 💙

After 13 amazing years, we have left the pharmacy as it moves to new management. It has been an honour to care for you and to be part of your lives.

We’re grateful for your trust, kindness, and support, and we’ve made this difficult decision so we can spend more time with our family.

Thank you for everything — we will always cherish our time here.

To allow the pharmacy the time required for the expansion of services the government has recently announced, we are now requesting all customers to sign up to our new text messaging service. A text will be sent to your mobile phone when your prescription is ready to collect, saving you any unnecessary trips or phone calls.

Further to the last post, our normal Monday to Friday prescription delivery service has now resumed. Thank you all for your understanding and perseverence during the period of staff shortage.

Due to staff shortage, we can only provide prescription delivery service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday only from next week onwards until further notice. I understand it may cause inconvenience to our patients who need the delivery service. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. We will recruit a driver as soon as possible.

In order to continue to provide COVID-safe environments as the pandemic continues, the policy of our pharmacy remains unchanged after 19 July. Face coverings should be used by patients (if tolerated) and visitors when entering the pharmacy. It is in line with all care settings.

As a precautionary measure, anyone that develops symptoms after AstraZeneca vaccination is advised to seek prompt medical advice, such as:

• shortness of breath, chest or persistent abdominal pain, leg swelling
• blurred vision, confusion or seizures
• unexplained pin-prick rash or bruising beyond the injection site

Furthermore anybody with new onset of severe or persistent headache that does not respond to simple painkillers starting four days or more after vaccination should speak to their doctor.

Thank you all for the concern of our delivery service on Christmas Eve. It has now been sorted. Our normal delivery service will resume as normal on Christmas Eve.

Due to staff shortage, we will not be able to provide our usual delivery service at all on Christmas Eve. The last day we can provide our usual delivery service will be Wed 23rd. Delivery service will resume on Tue 29th. We will be open on Boxing Day as normal. The only 2 days we will be closed are Fri 25th and Mon 28th. I wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/the-nhs-app/ I wonder if many people use the NHS app. It is a very useful app. Once you have downloaded the app and confirm your ID, you can view your GP medical record, manage you GP appointment, nominate your pharmacy, order your prescription, use NHS111 online. More importantly, it is owned and run by the NHS!

Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.
