Tomorrow is the start of World AMR Awareness Week (18-24 November).

Antibiotics donโ€™t work on viruses like colds or flu. Self-care is often the best choice to treat minor illnesses.

Pharmacists are qualified to give advice about different health matters, including minor illnesses, so consider speaking to a pharmacist before going to your GP.

Also if eligible get your flu and COVID-19 vaccine.

We are hearing reports that people are being directed to other pharmacies for their delivery service. We do still provide a FREE delivery service we just ask that this is kept for our customers who really need it.

We need our customers to keep using their local pharmacy & the services we are striving hard to provide!

Please keep it local & support your community pharmacy!

Use it or lose it as they sayโ€ฆ.

THE PHARMACY YOU USE IS YOUR CHOICE - you should not be directed to another pharmacy by any other healthcare provider.

Perimenopause is one of the three stages of menopause. Itโ€™s when menopause symptoms start but your periods havenโ€™t stopped.

For many women, these symptoms can affect daily life โ€“ from energy and mood to relationships and work.

They can also start earlier for some, which is why recognising the signs and getting support matters.

Menopause will now be part of routine NHS health checks โ€“ offered every 5 years to eligible adults aged 40 to 74 โ€“ for the first time. By including tailored questions about menopause, more women will be able to get the support they need to manage their symptoms.

From October to March we canโ€™t make enough vitamin D from sunlight, so to keep bones and muscles healthy, itโ€™s best to take a daily 10 microgram supplement of vitamin D. You can get vitamin D from most pharmacies and retailers.
