✨One week to go until we are launching something new✨

📅Your invited to The Dyspraxia Centre of Excellence Launch, we hope to see you all there! Come along to meet the team, and find out what it is all about.

Too many people with Dyspraxia go unsupported, we're changing that. 💜

The group will be held on Wednesday the 22nd April, In the Leverhulme room (1st floor) at Chester Racecourse at our usual time of 12:00pm until 2:00pm. There is a lift and free parking also available - please just tell the car parking staff you are here to attend Axia's group.

The event will be recorded if you are unable to attend.

Our team at Axia is multi-disciplined, with a wealth of experience - many of which are neurodiverse themselves.

We do all we can to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease when attending your assessment at Axia. We adopt the Partnership Model, which recognises the individual as the expert on themselves, and parents as experts on their children, and share the mutual expertise in the room in order to gain an understanding of you/your child.

If you would like further details on our assessment process, please contact our admin office to request an Information Pack. You can read more about the full Axia team on the 'Meet the Team' page of our website.

Our voice plays a vital role in making services better. Every experience shared can help highlight what works and what could be better when it comes to your care.

Research shows the overwhelming majority of people in England – nearly 90% – want to see care improve. But nearly one in five people – 19% – don’t think they have time to share their story. And two in five – 40% – aren’t sure of where and how to give their feedback.

How do I get involved?

Luckily, it’s quicker and easier than you think. You can talk about any experience of care via our confidential survey.

It takes just three minutes to fill in – the time it takes for the kettle to boil, or to wait for the bus. The survey is also available in Easy Read and British Sign Language.

You can share your story in as much or as little detail as you like. It can be about anything, from something as large as your journey through cancer treatment to smaller experiences like the meals you had in hospital.

Every story matters, and every story, good or bad, helps care services hear what works and what could be better when it comes to your support.

Why it matters

Sharing your experiences helps NHS and social care leaders understand what’s working well and what could be improved. The more people who tell their stories, the stronger the case for making changes if they’re needed.

About Axia ASD Ltd

Axia-ASD Ltd offers a specialist service to individuals, both adults and children, with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and Learning Difficulties. The service is managed by Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Dr Linda Buchan.

Axia ASD Ltd is based in Cheshire in the North West of England. Our work is underpinned by the notion of partnership with the individuals we see and their families. This is a model Axia-ASD have used since its inception in the East End of London where I collaborated with Professor Hilton Davis.

We pride ourselves on our short waiting times, and we always offer an appointment within 13 weeks of the date of referral. In addition, we operate a cancellation list also.
