A huge thank you to Dunelm Chester | Community Support for choosing us for their “Delivering Joy” campaign and to all the generous customers who bought gifts for our residents. Everyone had a present to open on Christmas Day and as you can see they were delighted with them.

Today we have had movement to music this morning to Christmas songs, then this afternoon we had a Christmas sing a long, enjoyed with a mince pie and mulled wine 🍷

Due to an outbreak in the home we will, unfortunately, have to cancel the bingo night that was due to go ahead on Thursday 18th December.

This Christmas we will be supporting Age UK and Dementia UK by donating money to both charities for likes and shares on our festive posts over the next few weeks. For every like, £1 will be donated to our chosen charities and for every share, £2 will be donated. So please get liking and sharing and let’s raise some money for these great causes.

Here is a bit about both charities.

Age UK - this winter we support Age UKs Brighter Future initiative, designed to keep older adults safe, warm, connected and supported. From companionship services to winter wellbeing guidance, Age UK helps ensure no one feels alone during the festive season.

Dementia UK provides specialist Admiral Nurses who bring comfort, expertise and reassurance to families affected by dementia. Our support this winter helps fund these vital services, offering hope and stability to those who need it the most.
