Our team are now wearing new two piece scrubs, helping them stay comfortable while delivering the amazing care they provide every day. 💜

We’ve also introduced new Church Bank Homecare branded lanyards so our staff are easily recognisable in the community — while still proudly wearing their LGBTQ+ pride badges to show our commitment to an inclusive and welcoming service for everyone. 🌈

These roles are all about making sure the care we provide stays at the very highest standard — supporting our carers, checking in with clients, and always looking for ways we can do even better.

👋🏼 Hello from some of our lovely regulars at Church Bank Thursday Club!

I’m sure you’ll agree — they’re a very friendly bunch 😀🤩

Wondering what we get up to? Here’s a little snapshot of a typical Thursday with us…

☕ 10am – Everyone arrives (via CBH transport or with friends and family). We kick off with coffee, biscuits and a good old catch-up about the week.

🃏 11am – Time for games! Scrabble, dominoes and cards are firm favourites. Or the newspaper is always there if that’s more your thing.

🎯 11:45am – We gather back together for a round of the Express Target Game… a tricky one today!

🍺 12pm – The bar opens! 🎉

🍛 12:30pm – Lunch is served. Today’s menu was butter chicken with rice and naan bread, followed by chocolate brownie and ice cream 😋

🧠 1:15pm – Quiz time with our very own Quiz Master Matt! Today’s choice of genres were riddles, history questions and (of course) a music round to finish — who doesn’t love ending on a song? 🎶

☕️1:45pm - time for a quick coffee to finish and plan for next week!

🙂 2pm – That’s Thursday Club done for the week. Everyone heads home happy, full, and already looking forward to next week… maybe a little sleepy too! 🫶🏼

✨ Thursday Flacca Club ✨

We know how difficult the dark and cold days and evenings can be. All of a sudden you can feel very isolated and alone. You don’t need to be - we would love you to join us on a Thursday 10am - 2pm at The Flacca.

A group of like- minded, friendly ladies and gents meet each week for a relaxed, pressure free, catch up. You’re served a delicious two course meal whilst being support by our outstanding team and volunteers. We have lots of games, puzzles, crafts and interactive activities to get stuck into, or if that’s not your thing, you can sit reading the paper with ‘The Golden Oldies’ playing in the background 🎵

We know it’s been a little quiet on here lately… which can only mean one thing – we’ve been busy! 😀

Our Thursday Club has been going from strength to strength. We’ve welcomed lots of new faces, seen new friendships blossom, and shared plenty of laughs (and good food, of course!).

It’s starting to feel really well-established now, with everyone getting to know each other and creating such a welcoming atmosphere. Conversations pick up where they left off, and it’s become the perfect place to relax and catch up on the week.

Our clubs are kept small, usually around 15, at least 4 team members there for support you have a delicious home made 2 course meal, meaning you don’t have to cook!

💷 Pay: £14.00 per hour
📍 Location: Tattenhall and surrounding rural area
🕒 Flexible hours available – full-time or part-time
🚗 Driving licence preferred (but not essential)

As a Community Carer, you’ll be offering vital support to individuals in their own homes – helping with daily routines, providing companionship, and making a positive impact every day.
