📣 Brio are delighted to announce that we are now taking referrals for our Tier 2 Adult Weight Management Program. 🍕🍇🍿⚖️🥗

There are weekly programmes being held at various locations across Chester and Cheshire West. For an insight into the programme and to check if you are eligible you can use our eligibility criteria:

Did you know? It is Action Against Sugar Awareness Week:
Latest figures show 9 in 10 children and 4 in 5 adults are exceeding their recommended daily sugar limits, increasing the risk of lifelong health issues, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and tooth decay. Nutrition, health and marketing claims used by food companies, such as “high fibre,” “natural energy,” and “smart snacking” can create a misleading ‘health halo' effect. This can often encourage an overestimation of the health benefits, distracting from the potential unhealthy reality of some products, and making it even harder for people to make informed choices, contributing to an increased risk of these health conditions

Our yearly Sugar Awareness Week campaign - which will take place this year on 17th to 23rd November - raises awareness of the health risks associated with too much sugar in our diet, and advocates for better nutrition policies to improve our food environment.

💧🚨 A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the River Weaver Catchment, River Gowy Catchment, Wirral Catchment and River Dee Catchment as rising river levels may lead to flooding.

This alert covers areas around Frodsham, Winsford, Northwich, Ellesmere Port, Shocklach, Farndon, Handley, Lower Kinnerton, Chester and Puddington.

Men in Ellesmere Port and Northwich are invited to join in an art project to raise awareness of men’s mental health and seeking support when experiencing a crisis.

Four workshops are taking place:
• Tuesday, 18 November, 2pm – 3pm, at Theatre Porto, in Ellesmere Port
• Tuesday, 18 November, 7pm – 8pm, at Theatre Porto, in Ellesmere Port
• Wednesday, 19 November, 2pm – 3pm, at Mind Body Balance, in Northwich
• Wednesday, 19 November, 6.30pm - 7.30pm, at Mind Body Balance, in Northwich
