Founded by Parisian designer Ahlem Manai-Platt, the brand began with a simple philosophy: eyewear should be thoughtful, architectural and deeply personal. Growing up between Paris and Los Angeles, Ahlem drew inspiration from both cities, combining the intellectual elegance of Parisian design with a relaxed Californian sense of individuality.
Every frame is handcrafted in France using traditional techniques that prioritise precision and longevity. Many of the acetates are produced in limited runs, the metal components are hand-finished, and the colour palettes are carefully curated each season. The shapes themselves often reference architecture, art and the subtle geometry of Parisian streets, which is why AHLEM frames feel distinctive without ever feeling excessive.
The brand has quietly developed a devoted following among artists, designers and well-known names who appreciate eyewear that stands apart from mass production. Figures such as musicians, actors and creative directors have been spotted wearing AHLEM frames, drawn to their balance of bold structure and refined colour.
