For March, our monthly, community educational event will be focused on helping people with complex, long-standing pain better understand their symptoms and explore ways to move forward, beyond "just managing" it.

Did you start the year determined to move more… try a new sport… really look after your health… only to end up injured a few weeks in?

If you’ve picked up a sports injury, chances are you’ve already asked yourself a few big questions.
How bad is it?
Am I making it worse by training?
Should I stop completely… or keep going?

And for a lot of people, the advice they get is frustratingly vague.
“Just rest.” “Give it time.” “See how it goes.”

Sport and activity are more than just fitness. They’re how you unwind, stay social, and feel like yourself. So, whether it’s a knee, ankle, shoulder, back, or muscle injury… not knowing the severity, how long recovery will take, or whether you’ll ever feel confident again can be incredibly stressful.

That’s exactly why we’re running a FREE educational event called: “How to Stay Active with a Sports Injury and Why ‘Just Rest’ Isn’t the Answer.”

We’ll explain:
✓ What needs to happen for tissues like muscles, tendons, and joints to heal properly
✓ Why complete rest often slows recovery rather than helping it
✓ How training through pain can lead to compensations and repeat injuries
✓ And how physiotherapy techniques can support recovery and prevent future injuries

You don’t need to be an elite athlete. Most of the people we help are everyday runners, gym-goers, footballers, golfers, and weekend warriors who simply want to stay moving without fear.

The principles of recovery are the same whether you’re competing at the highest level or playing for enjoyment: understand the injury, address the cause, and follow the right plan.

On the day, you’ll also have the chance to speak directly with our team about your injury, your goals, and what next steps might look like for you.

Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure to save the date: Saturday 7th February here at Relive Physiotherapy in Chester

K-Tape can be used to prevent injury, and also aid your recovery from a number of injuries.

Used properly, it can reduce strain on injured areas, improve muscle activation, and help you move with more confidence while healing.

If you have a sports injury & have been told to “just rest,” there’s a better way. We’re explaining how at our FREE event:

From Sports Injury to Success 🌟

Ryan first came to Relive Physiotherapy with a sports injury and one clear goal: get back to playing tennis.

Through structured rehab and the right strength work, he didn’t just return to the court... he came back stronger. Ryan went on to win the Men’s Doubles title at the Wistaston Jubilee Tennis Club (WJTC) Finals Day with his partner George, and topped it off by being awarded the Les Beckett Cup after an all-Wistaston final. 🎾🏆

That’s what the right recovery plan can do! Not just getting you back into sport, but helping you perform with confidence again.

Dealing with a sports injury and unsure how to safely return to training? This is exactly what we’re covering at our upcoming free event:

Your comeback story could be next.

Same exercise, but different approach 🤔

During recovery from a sports injury, small changes can = a big impact. At Relive Physiotherapy, we don’t just swap exercises randomly. We adjust how your body is working so you can rebuild strength safely.

Tools like resistance bands help with muscle activation, joint stability, and return-to-sport rehab while keeping you strong during healing, without the strain of heavy weights. Because complete rest for weeks can actually make your comeback harder.

Is a sports injury making you feel stuck? If you want to learn how to keep training safely while recovering, we’re covering exactly this at our upcoming event:
