Did you start the year determined to move more… try a new sport… really look after your health… only to end up injured a few weeks in?
If you’ve picked up a sports injury, chances are you’ve already asked yourself a few big questions.
How bad is it?
Am I making it worse by training?
Should I stop completely… or keep going?
And for a lot of people, the advice they get is frustratingly vague.
“Just rest.” “Give it time.” “See how it goes.”
Sport and activity are more than just fitness. They’re how you unwind, stay social, and feel like yourself. So, whether it’s a knee, ankle, shoulder, back, or muscle injury… not knowing the severity, how long recovery will take, or whether you’ll ever feel confident again can be incredibly stressful.
That’s exactly why we’re running a FREE educational event called: “How to Stay Active with a Sports Injury and Why ‘Just Rest’ Isn’t the Answer.”
We’ll explain:
✓ What needs to happen for tissues like muscles, tendons, and joints to heal properly
✓ Why complete rest often slows recovery rather than helping it
✓ How training through pain can lead to compensations and repeat injuries
✓ And how physiotherapy techniques can support recovery and prevent future injuries
You don’t need to be an elite athlete. Most of the people we help are everyday runners, gym-goers, footballers, golfers, and weekend warriors who simply want to stay moving without fear.
The principles of recovery are the same whether you’re competing at the highest level or playing for enjoyment: understand the injury, address the cause, and follow the right plan.
On the day, you’ll also have the chance to speak directly with our team about your injury, your goals, and what next steps might look like for you.
Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure to save the date: Saturday 7th February here at Relive Physiotherapy in Chester
