Pinetum care home Our dedicated team provides high-quality dementia, nursing and short-term respite care.

Pinetum is a comfortable, purpose-built home in the grounds of the Countess of Chester Hospital. The skilled team provides nursing and respite care for older people, including those who are living with the early stages of dementia. They also offer specialist care for adults with complex care needs, such as brain and spinal injury. When your loved one joins Pinetum, the compassionate team will get to know them as an individual and create a personalised care and lifestyle plan to support them to live as independently and actively as possible. As well as having bright and well-furnished bedrooms, Pinetum has a choice of spacious and inviting lounges and dining rooms where residents can socialise, or simply spend some quiet time relaxing.

🌎✈️ Armchair Travel – Destination: Mexico! 🇲🇽

Today at Pinetum we packed our imaginations and travelled all the way to Mexico… without even leaving our armchairs! Residents enjoyed learning a little about Mexican culture, sharing smiles, and trying on some fun accessories along the way.

Who knows where our next armchair journey will take us! 🌍

Today our wonderful chefs treated us to a delicious Chinese meal to celebrate Chinese New Year 🥢🧧
Residents enjoyed a lovely selection of dishes followed by the all-time favourite – pancakes! 🥞✨

Today our lovely residents spent some special time with Ned, who was an absolute hit with everyone. From gentle strokes to warm smiles, Ned made his way around spreading comfort, happiness, and plenty of tail wags.
