Our dedicated team provides high-quality dementia, nursing and short-term respite care.

Pinetum is a comfortable, purpose-built home in the grounds of the Countess of Chester Hospital. The skilled team provides nursing and respite care for older people, including those who are living with the early stages of dementia. They also offer specialist care for adults with complex care needs, such as brain and spinal injury. When your loved one joins Pinetum, the compassionate team will get to know them as an individual and create a personalised care and lifestyle plan to support them to live as independently and actively as possible. As well as having bright and well-furnished bedrooms, Pinetum has a choice of spacious and inviting lounges and dining rooms where residents can socialise, or simply spend some quiet time relaxing.

Today our lovely residents spent some special time with Ned, who was an absolute hit with everyone. From gentle strokes to warm smiles, Ned made his way around spreading comfort, happiness, and plenty of tail wags.

Today at Pinetum, the lovely Edna enjoyed a special pamper session with her wonderful daughter, Julie 💛
There’s nothing quite like a bit of family TLC – and Edna was all smiles while having her hair done! She truly is a joy to be around, always sharing her humour and brightening everyone’s day with her warm personality.

Mary and Kerry-Anne enjoyed a lovely little trip out to the local shop today 🛍️
After picking up a few bits, they treated themselves to a warm and relaxing cup of tea at the pub ☕ It was a wonderful opportunity to get out and about, enjoy a change of scenery, and share some special moments together

🏀 Activity of the Day: Seated Basketball Fun! 🏀
Our wonderful residents enjoyed a gentle game of basketball today right from the comfort of their armchairs! With colorful textured balls and our mini hoop set up, it was all about gentle throws, smiles, and a bit of friendly competition.!

Today at our Gentlemen’s Club, we enjoyed a relaxing pamper morning, followed by some jigsaw puzzles, good conversation, and refreshing drinks. A calm and enjoyable time spent together, full of smiles and companionship. ☕🧩

We were delighted to welcome the gorgeous Mabel to Pinetum for a puppy therapy visit 🐶💜
Her visit brought so many smiles, cuddles, and moments of pure joy for everyone. The calming effect of puppy therapy is truly special, lifting spirits and spreading happiness throughout the home.
