As National Apprenticeship Week comes to a close, we’re shining a light on Charlie Rowlands who is developing !

On his experience as an Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprentice with our Finance team, here are some questions we have asked him:

⭐ What stage are you at in your apprenticeship?
"For my end-point assessment (EPA), I need to pass the in-tray assessment (exam), the second part was a structured interview which I passed. I have achieved the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting for the first exams I passed through AAT for introduction to bookkeeping, principles of bookkeeping controls, principles of costing and the business environment synoptic assessment."

⭐ What has your experience been like?
"Overall I’ve enjoyed most aspects of the course. However, I’ll admit there are parts where I’ve struggled, but my manager, colleagues and my tutor through the training provider have been incredibly supportive throughout the struggles, helping me to identify and explain where I may have gone wrong, and assisted me in correcting errors I’ve made. Not only has the support helped me through the course but with my job role, in particular the wages and payroll aspects."

⭐ Would you recommend an apprenticeship to others?
"I would strongly recommend giving an apprenticeship a go as an alternative to university or going straight into a working environment. You develop key skills within the role, and you get a qualification at the end of it all."

Happy , and well done to all our past and present apprentices, including our amazing Charlie!

At Amore, professional development is a priority - whether through apprenticeships, training, or qualifications, you’ll always have opportunities to grow.

🎶 RG, a young person supported by Amore Complex Care North West, took part in a music therapy session at his school led by Nordoff and Robbins, with a visit from former England footballers, Gary Lineker and Jill Scott.

Reflecting on the session, Jill shared:
“What I felt was like this real interaction through the eyes, the smiles, touch. It was so incredible… such a warmth and a great energy.”

Moments like these show how the right support and specialist partnerships can help young people access education in ways that work for them.

At Amore Group, we’re proud to support young people like RG to engage, express themselves and thrive alongside schools and charities who make this possible.

💚 Huge thanks to Mohamed Kabbah, one of our amazing Support Workers, for supporting RG on the day.
