No strikes in Chester tomorrow

Our Trust is not affected by the industrial action taking place across many NHS hospitals tomorrow (Thursday 15 December) and next week (Tuesday 20 December).

Any patients with an appointment at the Countess of Chester Hospital or Ellesmere Port Hospital should attend as normal. GP services are not affected by the strike action. If you need urgent care, please visit NHS111 online or call 111. Trained clinical professionals can assess you and direct you to the best place to get the care you need.

For information about how the industrial action may affect NHS services during the strike please visit the NHS website: https://www.england.nhs.uk/long-read/information-for-the-public-on-industrial-action/

🚨 We are currently working very hard to ensure everyone who needs an ambulance gets one as quickly as possible.
🚑 Help keep our ambulances for emergencies only.
💊 Consider if your pharmacist, GP, or http://111.nhs.uk could provide you with less urgent medical help.

Have you spotted this sign on our emergency ambulances? It gives important healthcare advice for spotting the signs of sepsis. ⬇️
Seek medical help urgently if you develop any of the following:
Slurred speech or confusion
Extreme shivering or muscle pain
Passing no urine in a day
Severe breathlessness
It’s the worst you’ve ever felt
Skin mottled or discoloured.
Acting quickly can save a life when it comes to sepsis. Just ask “Could it be Sepsis?”

We know it sounds obvious but tomorrow is supposed to be a lovely day (hope we don’t jinx it for everybody). If you:
keep hydrated
wear sunscreen
look after elderly neighbours and relatives
then you are already winning to and keep our crews free for helping people whose lives are at risk.
