We have had a super morning at our Postnatal Forum. The patients who attended found the time spent valuable, not only with two of our GP’s who have a real passion and expertise in women’s health , but also to be able to talk openly with other ladies. They were happy to share amongst the group some personal experiences both going through pregnancy, up until your baby’s arrival, and spoke about the weeks to follow. All found the morning very worthwhile.

🚨 Calling all Rupert’s Rainbow supporters 🚨🌈

We need your help to get the attention of two incredible communities who’ve helped so many families before — Chaotic - The Community and Charity Ninjas 💙

If you can, please:
✨ Tag them in the comments
✨ Engage so it boosts visibility

The more noise we can make, the more chance we have of hopefully getting their support and reaching even more people.

Let’s show them the strength of Rupert’s Rainbow 🌈💪

⚠️ Our A&E is extremely busy – expect long waits ⚠️

We are currently experiencing very high attendances at our Emergency Department. Our staff are working exceptionally hard to care for everyone, and we want to reassure you that essential services remain available for those who need them most.

Please help us by using A&E only for emergencies, critical or life-threatening situations.

If you attend for anything else, you may face long waits as we prioritise patients with the greatest need first.

If you’re unsure what to do, there are other options:
✅ NHS 111 online for quick advice
✅ Call NHS 111
✅ Check symptoms and treatments: https://ow.ly/4HFg50XAvYz
✅ Use Pharmacy First for minor conditions:
✅ Find an open pharmacy: search ‘Find a pharmacy NHS’
More advice is available on our website: https://www.coch.nhs.uk/patients-visitors-and-public/emergency-care.aspx

Thank you for helping us to keep A&E available for those who need it most

We are seeing a rise in measles cases in parts of England.

Vaccination is the most effective way to protect children from serious illness.

We’re encouraging parents to check their children are up to date with their vaccinations. Check your child's red book or speak to their GP practice.

Your pharmacist can provide treatment or some prescription medicine, if needed, for seven common conditions - without you seeing a GP.

Think pharmacy first and get seen by your local community pharmacy team.
