Each year we light up trees at The Countess of Chester Hospital and Ellesmere Port Hospital in celebration of loved ones. This year's service will be held on Friday 5th December. You can light a light for someone even if you do not wish to attend the service.
The names of those from whom lights are lit are also recorded in Books of Honour, which are on display in the Spiritual Care centres at The Countess and Ellesmere Port hospitals.
During the brief service - which is held outside the main entrance of the Countess of Chester - poems are read, carols are sung and the lights in the trees are lit with a few minutes silence for remembering. It is a time to be with others who are feeling the same. There will be time before and after the service to look at the Books of Honour.
You can sponsor a light online: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/treesoflife
Please donate before Friday 21st November to have your names printed in the programme.
Celebrate the life of a loved one who is no longer here but will always have a special place in your heart, a special anniversary or the birth of a child by lighting a light in one of our trees
