🌟 Client of the Month: Mark! 🌟

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate Mark as our Client of the Month for October!

His journey is a true testament to what consistency, commitment, and incredible grit can achieve.

When Mark first started, he was looking to make a change. Years of driving for a living had resulted in rounded shoulders and a general feeling of needing an overhaul. But Mark didn’t just wish for a change—he worked for it!

Mark’s commitment has been phenomenal. He consistently logs 3 to 4 training sessions a week using the UP Strength app, making fitness a non-negotiable part of his routine.

Strength Gains: His most recent milestone is nothing short of incredible. Mark started his chest press with 4 kg dumbbells, and last week, he powered through 6 controlled reps with 17.5 kg in each hand! That’s a massive win and shows his dedication to getting stronger. Along with many other movements which have sky rocketed💪

Lifestyle Transformation: Mark has not only lost weight but has completely shifted his habits, focusing on eating better and snacking less. It’s about sustainable change, and he’s nailing it.

What truly sets Mark apart is his amazing energy and willingness to tackle every single session with exceptional grit. He always brightens up the studio, ready to give 100% to whatever is planned for him.

🚨 Head Trainer Message 🚨

This is a photo of me back in 2019.

After earning my initial personal training qualification, I quickly realised I didn't want to be just another certified coach. I wanted to be an expert. I wasn't satisfied with 'good enough'—I needed to prove my ability to handle complex needs under pressure.

This drive led me to make a significant investment: a four-week, residential course to earn the prestigious International Diploma in Personal Training (labelled the 'Master Trainer' course).

It wasn't a weekend workshop; it was an absolute immersion.

We ran from 6 AM till 6 PM, day in and day out.

I was shoulder-to-shoulder with incredible people—from doctors re-training in functional movement to counselors seeking new ways to help clients—all ages, all backgrounds, united by a commitment to mastering the craft.

The most challenging part was the daily PT Clinic.

Local people would come in with real, often complex health and fitness goals. We had to immediately assess, design, and deliver a comprehensive, safe, and effective session tailored to their specific needs.

All of this was done under the scrutiny of some of the world's best personal training mentors. Being critiqued moment-by-moment was tough, but that high-pressure feedback was where I truly learned to coach.
It forged my ability to adapt, think on my feet, and deliver precision programming for every specific population.

Walking away with that International Diploma wasn't just about gaining a qualification; it was a testament to the belief that the quality of service should match the depth of the commitment.

It proved I was equipped to work with anyone, from anywhere in the world, on any fitness challenge.

My takeaway then, and now, remains the same: If you want to deliver high-impact results, you must demand the highest standards from yourself.

From “Hates the Gym” to Half Marathon PB! 🥇

A year ago, Paul would have chosen a bottle of port over a PT session! 🍷😂

He came to us dreading fitness and weights, but thanks to his incredible consistency over the last full year and package after package, the transformation is unbelievable.

He didn’t just stick with it—he crushed it! He recently ran his fastest half marathon ever, and we’ve seen huge success in the gym: his core strength has massively improved, he is significantly stronger in all his foundational lifts, and his VO2 Max is steadily rising.

This is the ultimate win: not just looking better, but actively choosing to live longer and healthier every single day for the past year.

Today, we're not just celebrating a number, we're celebrating a journey of extreme dedication, an evolution of strength, and an incredible testament to resilience! Our amazing client, Martin, has officially crushed 100 Personal Training Sessions with us, and we couldn't be prouder!

From day one, Martin has embodied what it means to give his all.
You'll often spot him cycling to his sessions, a true warrior showing UP rain or shine, ready to put in the work and consistently giving us that signature 110% effort!

But Martin's commitment to fitness extends far beyond the four walls of the studio. These 100 sessions haven't just been about hitting personal bests in lifts; they've been about building the foundational, functional strength, stamina, and mental toughness required to CLIMB MOUNTAINS ACROSS THE GLOBE!🌍

We've been privileged to be a part of the training that has prepared him for the most demanding environments on Earth, including the majestic, thin-aired heights of the Himalayas and many more challenging peaks.
Every squat, every conditioning drill, and every tough workout has been geared towards the ultimate goal: being strong and resilient enough to conquer the next summit.

Our Client is Making Local Headlines! 🗞️

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate a huge milestone for one of our incredible clients, Jordan, whose amazing transformation has just been featured in the local news!

If anyone has an excuse not to train, it’s Jordan. As a dedicated chef, he faces brutal, late-night hours and is constantly surrounded by food and the intense heat of a professional kitchen. For most, prioritising health in that environment feels impossible.

But Jordan is living proof that no obstacle is too big. He committed to a plan, put in the consistent work, and embraced the journey—and his results were so phenomenal that he’s now officially a local news feature, inspiring the whole of Derbyshire!

Client(s) of the Month: Fiona & Paul! 🏆

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that this month’s honours go to the unstoppable power couple, Fiona and Paul! These two amazing people have not only been consistently smashing every session, but they are proving that great partnerships can lead to phenomenal progress.

Fiona has been hitting some serious milestones that deserve a huge spotlight! We’re celebrating her hitting a phenomenal 8kg on her chest press and achieving a goal that so many struggle with: completing 10 perfect, full press-ups. That is pure, hard-earned strength!

Even more importantly, her consistency has paid off in huge ways functionally—she’s strengthened her knee so effectively that a long-standing niggle is now completely gone! This is what training is all about: building real-world resilience. We are already looking ahead to the next challenge: pull-ups!

While Fiona has been focusing on brute strength, Paul has been meticulously building his engine from the inside out. His goal has been to gradually increase his VO2 Max. For those who don't know, your VO2 Max is the single best measure of your cardiovascular fitness—it’s the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise. Paul’s consistent effort means he is literally making his heart stronger, his endurance higher, and his fatigue lower. He is building the capacity for a more energetic and fitter life, and that foundation is priceless!

On top of that, Paul is seriously levelling UP his core strength. Trying to keep pace with Fiona's already impressive core power has given him an amazing benchmark, and his functional strength is going up every week. He is truly building the solid foundation necessary for peak performance.

Today, we celebrate the powerful benefits of an active life. But for us, fitness is about more than just a single day. It’s a deep commitment—it’s the habit we build, the confidence we gain, and the energy we create to live life to the fullest.⁣

This is why we truly believe that fitness is different for everyone.⁣

For some, it’s a packed gym, the clang of plates, and the thrill of hitting a new personal best. We have clients who live for smashing a new deadlift record and seeing the numbers go up.⁣
