Last week we sent out x50 Snapp-it wellbeing packs to support young people via Derbyshire County Councils The Virtual School.

The Virtual School provides information and guidance on children in care, care leavers, previously looked after children and children with a social worker.

Empowering our young people to get the right support, Snapp-it provides a safe and secure means of reaching out and accessing all your local & national Mental, Emotional, Physical, Sexual and Wellbeing service providers.
- The multi-purpose devices are wearable, usable, desirable and practical providing instant 24/7 access to a wealth of national and locally commissioned health and wellbeing support services as well as lots of self help support and fun stuff too through the Snapp-it app πŸ“± which is accessed via the QR codes on the Snapp-it devices.
All the hard work has been done for them providing the right and most needed information in the easiest, quickest and most intuitive way possible, Ensuring each young person has the right information to make a well informed choice. - Taking the anxiety out of taking action.
Connecting them to the right service so they get the right help at the right time enabling each and every student the best chance to grow into independent healthy adults without carrying the weight of the world with them.
A modern day approach to smart-health, you need something that’s quick and at your fingertips as early identification and intervention is key to reducing and preventing harm, for a greater sense of self-awareness and empowerment, it builds self-confidence and strengthens personal resilience πŸ™ŒπŸ“²πŸ™Œ

This delivery was made possible with funds gifted to Snapp-it by the wonderful ladies at Soroptomist International Chesterfield and The Bess of Hardwick Angling Club. πŸ™ŒπŸ’™πŸ™Œ

Yesterday Hayley was invited to visit the Chesterfield Foodbank’s Pre‑Foodbank Support Hub at Whittington Moor.
This hub is designed to help people get the advice and support they need before they reach financial crisis.

The Pre-Foodbank Support Hub runs every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm at Whittington Moor Methodist Church Hall.

On offer is a welcoming space where people can have a cuppa and a chat with the foodbanks friendly volunteers, speak with guest agencies and Citizens Advice for practical support, and explore ways to stabilise their situation early on. By offering this service, They aim to prevent the need for emergency food wherever possible.

Each session includes:
Friendly, trained volunteers in a supportive and welcoming environment.
A range of guest agencies on a rota, specialising in a range of different support areas.
Citizens Advice are in attendance for specialist benefits, housing and debt advice, and referrals to other services, available every week.

Hayley had the pleasure of going along to meet with Jacqueline the Foodbank Manager and some of the wonderful volunteers. Also to provide Snapp-it support information and Wellbeing support packs for anyone who may be seeking the support we provide here at Snapp-it that may attend the hubs.
As early intervention and signposting to the right support is key. πŸ™ŒπŸ’™πŸ™Œ

Team Snapp-it are hoping to join the guest rota at the Whittington hub soon, so keep an eye on the rota for updates. πŸ™‚

As we start the new year we are reflecting over the last. 2025 was an unforgettable year for us here at Snapp-it. πŸ™ŒπŸ€—πŸ™Œ

We had the privilege of meeting and working alongside some incredible members of our local community whom without we simply couldn’t do the work that we do. πŸ™πŸ»

In 2025 we provided support through wellbeing packs, school talks and virtual sessions delivering support to 8764 young people across Derbyshire. πŸ™ŒπŸ’™πŸ™Œ

As with all charities funding is always a challenge, As a very small volunteer lead charity we fully understand and appreciate we wouldn’t of been able to have had the huge impact we have throughout 2025 without our kind and generous local community who gifted donations or fundraised on our behalf.
We feel truly blessed that each and every donation no matter how big or small they chose to support us. πŸ™πŸ»

It’s because of them we are were able to keep the Snapp-it app up and running each month, purchase the items to go in our wellbeing support packs and as always continue to provide the snapp-it service free of charge to schools, community / local youth projects and even many local families who contacted us directly.
Because like us our supporters believe all young people should always have access to vital mental health support in a safe and discreet way that works for them, should they ever need it! πŸ™ŒπŸ’™πŸ™Œ

A heartfelt and special thank you goes out to:

Throttle Therapy Rideouts, The Farrow family, New Inn, Clay Cross, Libbie Towndrow, The Scaler Nationals , The BoHAC - The Bess of Hardwick Angling Club, Bolsover Rotary, GSM Electrical Supplies Ltd - Holmewood , UltraTan , Chester Street Gym, Pilsley Community Football Club, SI Chesterfield and District, Central Technology Ltd, The Middlecroft community Network, Netherthorpe School, MBSQualia-Wellness Connections - Lisa Flint, Tesco stronger starts.

Also we would like to thank our Trustees whom without we wouldn’t be able to run the charity, people don’t often hear us talk about these wonderful guys but Bradley, Jared and Sarah πŸ™πŸ»We truly appreciate you all and thank you for believing in us and enabling us to continue our vision in doing the work that we do. πŸ™πŸ»

We also want to say thank you to all the local organisations / groups who we have worked alongside in this year, collaborating to extend our reach.

❀️Because together we can and do make a difference ❀️

Thank you for following and supporting not just over the last year but since Snapp-it began back in 2020 ! πŸ™ŒπŸ’™πŸ™Œ

So here’s to 2026 a great year ahead with only more positive things to come πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸŽ‰
