Snapp-it Is a free, mobile application that provides a safe & confidential, sign-posting service supporting the mental, emotional, physical and sexual health & wellbeing of Children & Young People SNAPP-IT CIO No.1207483
An multi-award 8x winning teen mental health charity supporting over 85,000 CYP in +100 secondary schools, colleges, Children Service (NEET, LAC, SEN, home schooled & permanently excluded) plus a wide and varied range of sports, clubs, groups, youth projects & volunteering settings across the entire Derbyshire (inclusive of Derby City) region. An innovative, easy to use, digital signposting and social prescribing mobile application is accessed through a smart-phone device and QR code scan providing instant, 24/7 access to a platform of [trusted] local and national charitable (inc local authority based) service providers, making best use of local partnerships, community stakeholders and assets - supporting the Derbyshire Mental Health & Wellbeing stepped approach to look after your wellbeing, to explore and address the wider determinants, to actively encourage and promote wellbeing strategies, to raise mental health awareness whilst reducing stigma, and to ultimately provide easy to use, free, 24/7 access links to mental health and crisis support services. This early intervention / harm & suicide prevention solution strategically addresses a key public health priority (inclusive of key focus areas / nationally recognised ways of wellbeing) supporting +85,000 CYP via seamless integration across a wide variety of environments such as Whole School Approach, Youth Outreach & CYP Social Prescribing to help bridge the gap and provide opportunities for young people to not only gain access to much needed help and support but actively encourage and link engagements with community activities such as sports, clubs, groups, volunteering and community events - reducing isolation, loneliness and health inequalities through improved social connection and wellbeing outcomes.
