Today is NHS Admin Appreciation Day

A day to recognise the vital role of secretaries, receptionists, and coordinators who serve as the backbone of healthcare services. NHS admin appreciate day honours team members for their patient support, booking appointments, and enabling patient care.

Admin staff constitute a large portion of the workforce, supporting clinical teams and ensuring patient journeys run as smoothly as possible.

We're a registered Safe Place! 🥰

Keep Safe Cards are available to all adults who live in Derbyshire.

The card has space for you to write your name, the name and phone number of a family member or carer and anything else a person might need to know about you.

If you're out and about and you need help, you can take the card to a Safe Place to ask for help:

- Find you somewhere safe to wait
- Use the information on your Keep Safe Card to call your family, friends or support staff
- Call the police or an ambulance if it's an emergency

Today is world health day and this years theme is 'Together for health. Stand with science'

It's nearly spring! 🌹🌸

Astronomical spring officially begins on 20th March, which means that we need to make sure we remember that the clocks are changing too.

The clocks will SPRING FORWARD one hour at 2 am on Sunday 29th March 2026.

While I know I'll be missing that hours sleep 😴 the lighter days will be worth it!

We have contacted our provider who have informed the surgery that it is a global issue they are investigating and working to get resolved as soon as possible.

MEET THE TEAM

This is Jodie - our resident Paramedic Practitioner

Jodie qualified as a paramedic in 2017 and worked with South Yorkshire Ambulance service for 5 years before joining Inspire Health in 2022.

After 5 years of working with the ambulance service, Jodie decided that she was ready for new challenges and joined the practice to expand her learning.

In her spare time, Jodie likes to focus on spending quality time with her family and also plays Netball.

Make sure you say hello if you see her running around the surgery, and encourage her to keep on learning!
