Tapton Grove We provide specialist mental health services for adults from our home in Chesterfield.

We believe in a compassionate and person-centred approach to recovery and rehabilitation for people with severe and enduring mental health needs. OUR HOME

Situated in open countryside, just two miles outside of Chesterfield, Tapton Grove provides expert mental health nursing, rehabilitation, recovery and respite services. Our aim is to help people live more independent and enjoyable lives in a homely and secure environment. We have 63 high-quality single rooms, split over three separate buildings, offering all the benefits of small group accommodation. This month we'd like to show appreciation to support worker Craig. Craig is adored by the service users he cares for, he always makes them smile, goes above and beyond to meet their needs and he has an absolutely amazing rapport with everyone. As we're only blessed with Craig one day a week, to achieve the trust, friendship and confidence of our residents shows the strength of character and dedication Craig gives to his job. Today we celebrate a massive milestone with our service user Dean. Dean has personally asked for his story to be shared in hopes it helps and encourages others. For the 1st time in 21 years Dean has remained out of hospital for a whole year! Not only has Dean coped fantastically well with his diagnosis, but in the last year Dean has abstained from substance misuse, stopped smoking & va**ng, is learning to drive & has enrolled & attended collage with a 98% attendance score. He has also made lifetime friendships & supported his peers. Deans exact words....." Im so proud of myself, I never thought I'd get to where I am, I feel I've been given a 2nd chance at life. I dont believe I'd have managed it anywhere else but at Tapton. The staff have always been supportive & made me feel wanted & worth something. Tapton feels like home to me". We are all so unbelievably proud of you Dean. Onwards & upwards 👏🏽❤️👏🏽❤️👏🏽
