Mrs Margaret Conway of Fullwood, Sheffield has passed away at the Northern General Hospital aged 90.

Born in Sheffield, Margaret was a lifelong resident of the area and retired as a teacher 38 years ago.

In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed gardening, attending church, visiting London and spending time with friends.

Margaret leaves sons – John, Mark, and David, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Margaret’s funeral will take the form of a Requiem Mass at St William of York RC Church, Ecclesall Road on Thursday 7th May at 11am.

Edith Joyce Hyman (known as Joyce) of Inkersall has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 81.

Joyce was born and grew up in Morton until moving to Inkersall 60 years ago.

In her early days, Joyce worked as a bus conductor. She later worked at Trebor Sweets and then the factory at Inkersall. Most recently, Joyce was a salesperson for Betterware.

Joyce had a great love of gardening - her garden was immaculate. Other interests included films, football and athletics - in her younger days she ran for Derbyshire.

Joyce leaves sons - Chris, Peter and Leigh, and grandchildren - Mia, Grace, and Robyn.

A private cremation will be taking place at Amber Valley Crematorium, Swanwick.

Mr John William Kellett of Chesterfield has passed away at Ridgewood House Care home aged 86.

Born in Chesterfield, John was a lifelong resident of the area. From the age of 14, John had been employed as a miner.

In his spare time, John enjoyed horse racing, betting, family holidays, fishing, darts, cards, and socialising.

John leaves his wife – Susan, children – Emma, Roger, and Rebecca, grandchildren – Dylan, Jess, Abigail, Caitlin, Joseph, and Oscar, and great grandchildren – Olivia and Ada.

John’s funeral will take place on at Chesterfield Crematorium on Friday 8th May at 12:45pm. There will then be a further opportunity to share your memories of John at Hasland WMC.

Mrs Sheila Millard (nee Godley) of Staveley has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 67.

Born in Chesterfield, Sheila was one of ten children. She grew up in Renishaw and had lived in Staveley since the age of 22. Sheila had been employed as a barmaid, dinner lady, cleaner, sales assistant, and latterly a teaching assistant, before retiring.

In her spare time, Sheila enjoyed baking, crocheting, Bingo, cards, darts, dominoes and holidaying in the Sun. She was probably at her happiest, doting on her grandchildren.

Sheila leaves her husband- Dave, children- Paul and Hayley, grandchildren- Charlotte, Ella, and Barney, brother - Phil, and sisters - Kate, Val, and Chris.

Sheila's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Wednesday 6th May at 12 noon.

Mr Alan George Burrows of Staveley has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 86.

Born in Woodthorpe, Staveley, Alan was a lifelong resident of the area, living 61 years in Middlecroft.

Alan was employed at Ireland Colliery for 33 years until it closed. He then worked as a taxi driver for 7 years, retiring at the age of 57.

In his spare time, Alan enjoyed bowling, walking, and playing the organ. He also enjoyed holidays and travel, and spending time with his family and friends.

Alan was predeceased by his wife - Valerie. He leaves daughters - Joanne and Janet, sons-in-law - Andrew and David, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Alan's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Thusday 30th April at 10:30am.

Family flowers only. Donations in Alan's memory will be received on behalf of Arkwright Bowling Club and Bolsover Castle Bowling Club.

Born in Chesterfield, Gail was a lifelong resident of the area.

She loved shopping at Flea Markets, hunting for rare and unusual items. Her biggest love was chocolate!!!!

Mrs Joyce Taylor (nee Wood) of Clay Cross has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 84.

Joyce was born in Chesterfield on 1st September 1941 to Joseph and Florence May Wood. She was a lifelong resident of the area and had been employed at Robinson’s, Woodhead’s and Trebor.

In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, looking after her family and helping Dad with his spelling.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves her husband of 61 years – Derrick, daughters – Angela, Erika, and Kim, grandchildren – Jade, Ashleigh, and Daniel, and great grandchildren – Ada and Seth. Joyce is loved and missed by all who knew her.

Joyce’s funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Friday 17th April at 2:15pm.

Mr Leslie Maskrey of Staveley has passed away at home aged 80.

Born in Sheffield, Les had lived locally for the last 54 years. He had been employed as a HGV driver, TV engineer and then a mobile phone engineer before retiring 24 years ago.

In his spare time, Les enjoyed socialising, travelling, and had a keen interest in cars.

Les leaves his wife - Jean Diane, brother - Colin, brother-in-law - Reg, sisters-in-law Wendy and Valerie, nephew - Chris, and nieces - Nicola, Louise, Kerry, and Joanne.

Les' funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Thursday 16th April at 2:15pm.

Born in Chesterfield, Alan was a lifelong resident of the area. Before retiring, Alan was a tanker driver for over 40 years.

In his spare time, Alan enjoyed reading, fishing, watching football and gardening.

Alan was predeceased by his wife - Christine. He leaves sons - Jamie and Ian, daughter-in-law- Shandice, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren with another on the way.

Alan's funeral will take place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Wednesday 15th April at 11:15am. Refreshments will be served afterwards at the Hollingwood Hotel.
