We are excited to introduce the latest addition to our Prolevo range. The Prolevo Wedge is a simple, effective solution for heel offloading. Supplied with an easy-to-use inflation pump, this device completely offloads the heel by suspending it in the air, redistributing pressure safely to the calf to support pressure ulcer prevention and treatment pathways.

The Prolevo Wedge can now be ordered via NHS Supply Chain using code TLC85202, or you can order directly with our team:

We are very pleased to share a new published study looking at forefoot offloading footwear, which includes our Footshield II Shoe.

Key findings about the Footshield II from the study:
• Effective redistribution of pressure across the forefoot
• No increase in pressure in high-risk areas like the big toe
• Walking remained stable and controlled
• Consistent results compared to other footwear options

What’s notable is how the unique Footshield II design supports this.
• A rocker sole to help guide the foot through a smoother step
• A carefully positioned rocker apex (60% of the shoe length) to reduce forefoot load
• A slight toe-out angle (10°) to better match natural walking

Together, these features help offload the forefoot while maintaining stability during walking.

Proud to be supporting Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust with their February Heel Pressure Ulcer awareness campaign. With permission from MFT to share, this campaign focuses on raising awareness of heel pressure ulcers, how they develop, and, crucially, how they can be prevented through early intervention and correct use of approved heel offloading products.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be visiting wards across MFT hospital sites, working alongside clinical teams to:

• Highlight why heel pressure ulcers matter
• Reinforce the importance of proactive heel elevation before damage occurs
• Support correct use of the Trust’s approved heel offloading solutions, including HeelPro Advance.

This is a fantastic example of a Trust-led initiative, and it’s great to be able to support frontline teams with education, awareness, and practical solutions that ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Credit to MFT for creating and leading this campaign, looking forward to sharing more as we continue our ward visits over the next few weeks.
