Dawe to Door Community Support

Dawe to Door Community Support Advocates for Respect of Personal Dignity, Justice and Peace for Vulnerable Adults Do you feel isolated? Are you struggling getting out and about?

Do you need help with day to day tasks? Would you like to get out and socialize with like minded people, but find that you lack the ability and/or confidence? Dawe to Door Community Support offer a unique care package that enables all members of our community to access and use activities available to them. Not only do we pick you up from home, we provide support whilst out and about and provide assistance and companionship. We do not provide a domicillary care service with personal care; we provide support in independent living. Our aim is to promote emotional and physical wellbeing within our community through social integration - helping vulnerable people to meet friends old and new, and live a more fulfilling life by enabling them to make their own independent and social choices. If you know someone who is vulnerable and needs support then we are the guys to call. Fully insured, with over 15 years of experience in the care industry and qualified in mental health issues to degree level, we aim to provide a better quality of life to those adults who really need it.

Been so busy this last couple of weeks keeping vulnerable people safe from COVID-19

12/05/2020

Good morning everyone!

As this COVID situation continues, we are still providing help and support to those in need. Not only are we making sure vulnerable individuals have their shopping and medications, we are also making sure that people are comfortable in their own homes and gardens.

In cases of anger and frustration or increased depressive or anxious thoughts, we are offering online stress-busting exercise classes that put you in a virtual space with up to 30 other people in the same boat. We are also having virtual coffee and chat sessions and are still signposting to other services where further help may be available.

We are all working together for a brighter tomorrow. It is hard, but we are in this together. Remember, you are not alone and we can help with most situations. Just shout if you need us!

Stay safe ๐Ÿ˜Š

I think we can say Spring is finally here, with the beautiful sunshine and warmer temperatures. Usually this makes people feel a little better, but we are in a strange time right now.

We have to stay at home, we have to stay back from friends and loved ones and those who isolate themselves from others now no longer have that choice. That feeling of helplessness can be a very heavy weight to bare and mental wellness is affected. Add that to the vulnerability of being reliant on friends and family for support and this can all seem very bleak.

We are still supporting vulnerable people across the community of Chesterfield. We are doing shopping calls, wellness visits and offering other support where we can. If you or any of your family are struggling with independent living, please donโ€™t feel alone. Call us!

Although this time is hard, please know that you are not alone and this situation is not forever. Stay home, stay safe, stay supported!

Good morning everyone. Apologies we havenโ€™t been onto the page very much, we have been extremely busy.

We would just like to say that we are thinking of you all at this very difficult time. As you can imagine, this is raising anxiety levels through the roof and we are fighting hard to make sure that all of our clients are supported to the best of our abilities. Our priority calls are to clients who have severe underlying physical health issues, combined with mental illnesses or learning disabilities. But we are managing to get around everyone to ensure social isolation and safety.

Please bare with us if we are 10 minutes late, we are on our way. We promise, you will not be left alone ๐Ÿ˜Š

Much love to you all x
