One to One Support Services is expanding, and we’re looking for passionate Support Workers, including BSL-skilled and fluent signers, to join our inclusive and supportive team.
💷 BSL Skills Bonus – £250 (T&Cs apply)
✔ £100 paid with your first wage
✔ £150 after 3 months of employment
✔ Minimum 20 hours per week required
💰 Extra Hours Reward
Any care staff (including managers and seniors) who work over 44 hours per week will earn an additional £1.00 per hour for every extra hour completed.
🧩 What We’re Looking For
• BSL Level 1 or above (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Experience supporting deaf or hard of hearing individuals (desirable)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A caring, patient approach with strong safeguarding awareness

As we continue to celebrate British Sign Language Week, here are a few facts about British Sign Language:

• BSL has its own grammar and sentence structure, different from spoken English
• It is the first or preferred language for many Deaf people in the UK
• Facial expressions and body language are an important part of communication in BSL

Learning even a few signs can help make communication more accessible and inclusive.
