We know it’s a nightmare out there. Between the rising cost of living and the endless traffic gridlock currently paralyzing Clay Cross, just getting from A to B feels like a battle.
But while the traffic is a frustration for some, for our local independent businesses, it’s a threat to our very existence. 🛑
Most of us on this high street aren't big corporations with safety nets. We are your neighbors, scraping a living and working 60-hour weeks just to keep the doors open. When the roadworks make it "too much hassle" to stop by, our shops sit empty.
The reality is simple: Support us now, or we won't be here tomorrow.
Choosing to shop local this week—even if it takes an extra ten minutes in traffic—is the lifeline we need. It’s the difference between a thriving community and a ghost town of empty units.
