So today we say goodbye to Jane, who has been our inspiring leader/manager at StandTo , who had the drive, passion and damn stubbornness to move StandTo forward to the place we are at right now , leading support for our Veteran Community throughout Derbyshire and beyond.
Please join the team in thanking her for everything she has done, making the impossible work. (Dare 2 Dream)
When the community said they wanted a place of their own she listened, and fought for where we are now at the Hub.
Although off on her world travels with her partner Lud we are sure she will be popping in for a brew and sharing her experiences from exotic places.

This week our events go- ordinator ( yes - go not co ) took a group from our Veteran Community on exercise to Black Rocks Derbyshire where we encountered all 4 seasons in four hours . The views were spectacular when the weather hadn’t closed in, we thought we were going to have to dig in at one point but shelter was found and we adapted and over came. There was plenty of the usual banter and shared stories from service life. Of course we managed a brew at a local cafe recommended by Alan. If you are Veteran and fancy joining us next time pop in or contact one of the team in StandTo Veteran Community Hub Chesterfield.

As sadly we have a number of veterans popping in to see us at our Veterans Hub in Chesterfield with either physical difficulties as they age or requiring mental health support from their service, here’s something to consider when looking at financial support if needed because of being either unable or restricted now within the job market as to what work you can accept (if any)….

On Wednesday Standto were proud to host a very well attended Corporate Day at Chesterfield Football Club where we were able to showcase the good work of The Veteran Community Network and build on some new working relationships with a view to companies and stakeholders in Derbyshire making pledges of support . Thanks to all our speakers who gave a insight into how Service affects life - some really open and honest conversation starters.
