The banana yellow-zipped / African proverb wash bag I was chatting about 'on the Beach, on Tuesday. ✨

As if this gift wasn't heart exploding enough, Bronwyn scribbled 'AFRICAN NANAS ADVENTURE' on her Tuesday 'Beach banana.

The BEST send off a Chief Banana Officer could wish for - thanks Bronwyn.

Who's heard an African proverb thrown into bananachat? 🤔

Maya Angelou's favourite: never trust a naked man who offers you his shirt (all about loving you before you can love another). 🍌

As a 'born vegetarian' my favourite: the sheep spends its whole life fearing the wolf only to get eaten by the shepherd (all about fearing that thing that never happens). 🐑

And the most recent addition, one that Bronwyn taught me, apart from the wash bag: if the roots are strong there's no need to fear the wind (one for those wobbly days). 🌴

Bananachat - my words of mental strength, mantras and mindfulness (and African proverbs), spoken over the top of a banging POWER playlist, whilst we move.

More of this on the other side ... First banana back 'on the Beach Saturday 8 November, and beyond. 💛

That’s a wrap. 💥

What a chapter, and what a finish: the first ever Tuesday ‘on the Beach, because it was our only gap in the weather this week to get one final banana in before I'm out of bananas office for two weeks.

Frankie called it, LIVE LIFE NOW 🍌

Ever grateful for the wild+free, in you and me, that makes moments and memories like today, and this chapter - Summer into Autumn ‘25 - happen.

The WiFi will be lacking in the two weeks of wanderlust and desert dust - starting Friday 24 October, returning Friday 7 November - grateful for your patience in replying to banana mail and messages, during this time.

If you have questions or want to chat I’m all ears, for the next couple of days, whilst I finish up bananas admin, and get my bananas in a row to come back all bananas blazing on the other side.

I’m already excited for it. And first, REST, space for reflection and sparks, and a simple mission to find my favourite grain of sand. ✨

Love you bunch. From the bottom of my yellow heart, THANK YOU, and, love to see you on the other side. 💛

Saturday 8 November and beyond is open for booking and December will open up on my return powerisbananas.com/events 📌

Then there were 13, on bikes. 💥

Having said, only last week, that more bikes isn’t my vision for POWER, it’s more headphones and bananas, more bunch off-bikes - running, walking, wheeling - because it’s more accessible, inclusive, and scalable …

(All still true) and, the opportunity arose on Sunday straight from 'the Beach, so I went for it - TWO more bikes.

On the first day all 13 could be pedaled - Monday - they were all pedaled, and there was still a wait list. More of this please, Universe. 🙏🏼

Not just any two additional bikes, one of them is VP COCOA’s lockdown POWER Online bike. 🥰

If you're not one of the lockdown bunch it might not mean so much, but for those of you who were one of the bunch back then and were also there on Monday night for the inaugural 13 - Pezza I'm looking at you - it's a proper POWER circle of life moment (and yes we sang it out loud as we loaded the bike). 🦁

POWER is never far from a big-hearted story.

VP COCOA most-crowned/most number of POWER experiences one of the bunch, now living her best life outside of Chichester. 🌈

The other bike I rescued from an office in Southampton, on the way home. We’ll breathe (and banana) the story into that one. Its first bunch experience was with Morag in the saddle, on Monday night. Strong start.

POWER at the Pavilion in Chichester is a weekly community anchor, the home of scaling by two bikes, and delivering straight off the bat. The Pavilion was the first location outside of the POWER Garage, four years ago, where I started with 9. The first 11 happened there, the day after I added two more. And the first 13 (on the 13th October 2025) were also christened at the

If 13 is good enough for Taylor … The biggest Swiftie I know, Katie, wrote LUCKY FOR SOME / POWER SURGE on her banana, on Monday night.

Proud of how far we’ve come as a bunch beyond simply, and a biggie, two more bikes. 🍌🍌

With your bike amongst the bunch, VP COCOA, with its roots and everything it represents, the adventure continues. And you will always have that bike and the bunch to come home to. 💛

That week in October when THIRTY ONE new to the bunch gave it a red hot go, in the community ... 🔥

From orange skies to silver skies to blue skies and starry skies - what a week we shared together. 💛

THANK YOU, for saying "yes", telling your friends, bringing your family, shouting about it in the office ...

And for taking THIS bananas vibe back home (UK and overseas). 📸

HOW EPIC LIFE IS ... 100 agree, Lucy. 🍌

In all its shades. 🧡💙🤍💚💛🌈

All bananas blazing again - thanks, boys The Chichester Bike Project 🙌🏼

Whilst POWER isn't really about the bike (POWER is Bananas) - the movement element can also be off the bike - I want to do my best to give you bunch the best pedaling experience possible, if you're on the bike. ✨

The thing is, they're not really bikes at all, they're machines, so finding someone who's keen to give the occasional mechanical tweak a red hot go is rare.
.. Until Chichester Bike Project arrived on the scene. 🤩

Since Ewan and Jonny have been at the helm, I'm the most excited I've been about this Project since I was asked to be an Ambassador last summer when it was in its Crowdfunding stage (it's now community-owned).

Aside from the JOY of a new pedal, two new saddle attachments and a handlebar stem fix ...

I heard all about their free kids workshops (age 7-12), their new and busy cafe (open Tuesdays and Thursdays) youth workshops (age 13-17) starting mid November and (what I'm looking forward to) the adult workshops, starting later in the year - everything from puncture repair to full service.

It was also great to hear about their continued work with Sanctuary - I love the idea of employing a banana bikes mechanic through this collaboration, in future.

Until then, thanks again boys. 🙌🏼

If you're local to Chichester and have old bikes to donate / you need your bike serviced / keen for a workshop / want to swing by for a coffee, please do and throw some love at this brilliant Chichester project.

POWER loves a birthday. 🥳

Which is why there's a box on the booking form to let me know you're celebrating a birthday.

Liberty was 'on the Beach on Sunday, ahead of her 30th birthday on Tuesday. I knew she was celebrating her birthday so I gave her a birthday shout out. 🥳

When she jumped off her bike, new to the bunch Phil said "it's my birthday on Tuesday too." 🥳

It was birthday news to all of us, and even more reason to celebrate.

Those 'small' 'simple' moments of connection and celebration matter.

Your birthday doesn't have to be the same date as your POWER experience. If you want to celebrate your birthday, let's celebrate your birthday.

After all, today is the special occasion 🍌

Liberty and Phil, birthday twins. 📸

POWER stands for empowerment not intimidation.

"I want every rider to believe that what they achieve on the bike, they can achieve off the bike. In an increasingly disconnected, lonely world where crippling mental health thrives, I want every ride to ignite connection. Connection creates community, sparks energy, encourages vulnerability and has the power to achieve lasting mind and body transformation."

Elaine Hart, POWER Founder

The POWER Garage is real, it’s raw, it’s where it all began, and it’s where it all begins. The Garage was designed to be a space to test kit and rides with friends during the Winter 2019, in the build towards the intended launch of POWER-To-You - workplaces, festivals, community spaces, private hire, in Spring 2020. The Garage became Home to POWER in the Garage rides until Covid-19 hit, and the world changed beyond recognition.

I invested in the kit required to take the business online which initially went against everything I wanted POWER to be. However, I believe I've found a way that stays true to POWER values, via the online medium. The Garage then became the stage for POWER Online - live rides via Zoom. I launched POWER Online in April 2020, in a ‘bike or no bike’ format - anyone and everyone can ‘ride’ e.g. walkers, runners, gardeners. Anyone with an internet connection, headphones and an open mind is welcome - emphasising POWER to simply be the decision to put down your phone for 30 or 45 minutes and ‘ride’. The bike or no bike concept reinforces my core intention for POWER to be more than a endorphin-boosting, sweat-inducing workout, POWER is physical and mental strength, on and off the bike.
