Everything you need to know. 💜

Who's in? 💥

International Women's Day, Sunday 08.03 is ten weeks til the 10km - what a day to begin POWER 'practice', in support of My Sisters' House. 📌

As one of the Bognor Prom 10k Road Race bunch, fundraising for My Sisters' House CIO you'll unlock a bunch of POWER perks to support you as you prepare to lace up at the start line, on Sunday 17th May.

Think, bunch 'practice' in-person and online, for the bunch living further afield.

As well as, first to experience POWER In Your Pocket - bananachat available when you want to shift (and 'practice').

If you're not one of the Bognor 10km bunch but would love to walk/run/move with us during POWER 'practice' - in-person or online - you're so welcome, in exchange for a donation on the POWER JustGiving page to My Sisters' House (MSH).

Why MSH, for me ... 💜

The incredible work that MSH does in making women feel seen, believed, supported and em-POWER-ed in their experiences of domestic abuse is part of my story, historically.

The national crisis they represent so brilliantly close to the Home of POWER in Chichester is one I want to support, and I would love for you to join me.

Step into your POWER. 🍌

The face on my fridge. 📌

My face of 40+ years ago has been pinned to my fridge for a few years.

She's *really* helpful.

I often 'cheers' her, and I always look to her for my next steps.

Why? Because I am her and I've always been her.

Life is 'simply' that practice of coming back to her, over and over.

I've never 'gone public' with my fridge - wild - but I had to share her and what helps me (as I do with my bananachat) when I saw Donna Ashworth's post, in my feed. 💛

It could only be my face and my fridge - surrounded by words that have also been there for a few years - bananachat inspo, everywhere.

That face knows what a full body "YES" feels like (bananachat), and she's all in for the year of the fire horse.🔥

As we head into February, we’re excited to share our latest blog — a brilliant conversation with Elaine Hart from Power is Bananas.

A long-time supporter of My Sisters' House and a true community powerhouse, Elaine brings infectious positivity, purpose, and a powerful belief in movement as a tool for connection, mindset, and change. In the feature, she talks about what’s currently fueling her intention within POWER, how movement keeps her aligned, and the banana-fueled wisdom she’s carrying into this next season for the community.

Hello, POWER In Your Pocket. 💥

The new line in POWER now has a name, official.

Its ‘working title’ POWER On-Demand felt a bit DEMAND-y and a bit SHOUTY when POWER is, and will always be, an *invitation* to move, connect, and shift.

You’re in charge. And, with POWER In Your Pocket, more so than ever before.

It’s …

That inimitable POWER soundtrack, at the touch of a button. 🍌

The answer to 'what would Elaine's bananachat say', day or night. 🍌

That empowering voice in your head that will shift you out of a funk and into your power, wherever you are in the world. 🍌

It’s, POWER In Your Pocket. 💥

The name POWER In Your Pocket - aka PIYP - came about over a dirty chai in Goat Coffee Co. after POWER on the Beach.

‘A3 bunch’ Kirsty - who regularly drives 50 minutes each way to be with the bunch for 45 minutes - was asking me about the new line in POWER, and when I explained how all-new digital bananas will work, she said …

“a bit like POWER in your pocket”

Yes. A LOT like that. 💥

POWER In Your Pocket - it’s playfully, POWER-perfect. Thanks, Kirsty.

And by naming it, it becomes a thing. Right?

Right.

For the eager bananas amongst you who have been shouting “I need you in my ears when …” after every POWER experience (when you don’t want to take your POWER headphones off) since the dawn of time, timescale for the roll out is still TBC.

January was all about the tech evolution, February is all about the recording.

Eyes peeled, it’s happening.

I’ll keep you posted on behind the scenes action, the podcast-style format, and the rockstar guests you’ll be moving with .

But for now, simply, it has a name - POWER In Your Pocket - HOW EXCITING. 💥

One day ...

You're feeling 'grippy' anxious. 😬

The next, you've got a big fat sun shining out of your head (and everything feels lighter). ☀️

That was me ... Friday, peak 'grippy' anxiety. Saturday 'on the Beach with you bunch, lighter.

Sharing how I felt last week for the realness, to normalise it, and to share the bananachat that helped me.

We all feel anxious, from time to time. If we keep it inside that anxious feeling can get bigger.

And we are so much bigger than that thing that's making us feel anxious. 🍌

When I feel anxious, I practice 'getting on the outside' - observing not becoming the feeling.

I create the gap between 'I am anxious' and 'I feel anxious'. 🍌

I remind myself to let the anxious feeling move through like weather. WILD, windy weather, just like Saturday - (tough and temporary).

You are the sky, the rest is just weather. 🍌

Anxiety can feel lonely, you are never alone. Keep talking.

bananachat to keep in your pocket for when you feel anxious and/or to share with someone who's feeling anxious. ▶️

Thank you Michelle .sauna for capturing this note to self. ☀️

Now in my 44th year, a different 'grippy' anxiety started a couple of years back for me, when my hormones shifted. Not only was last week its favourite week of the month, it was a week packed full of newness and challenges which made it extra 'grippy', (tough, and temporary).

Bananachat - my words of mental strength mantras and mindfulness, inspired by words written on bananas, spoken over a banging playlist, whilst we move.

And then I got brave and peeled POWER off the years-old vision board.

Life before bananas, 2016. 📸

The passion I had for empowering people to live wild+free, wholehearted lives was there in 2016, it was just waiting for my courage to catch up (bananachat).

All the love for you bunch who make days I once dreamt of, real life in 2026.

More suits?

The suit that inspired the POWER grey / green brand colours today, custom-made when I pedaled north to south Vietnam, in 2017. 📸

My three favourite 'suits' of POWER Online, during lockdown ...

100 bananas, to celebrate 100 POWER Online Zoom 'meetings'. 🍌

365 bananaversary bunting - you bunch and your 365 banana words that best describe POWER, to celebrate one year on Zoom. 🍌

Banana yellow snow suit - the Ski Saturday edition of POWER Online, to celebrate the bunch whose POWER movement was skiing, in Sweden, whilst the rest of the bunch did their movement, somewhere else in the world. 🍌

For those of you curious about the suit evolution ... 📌

Suits started in 2000, I was a non-graduate on a graduate scheme with HSBC (top performer in Wales & the West, big 'suit'). I then went into trusts and sponsorship for charities (supporting people with Dawn's syndrome and learning disabilities, less 'suit'). Then via motorsport, champagne and other luxury brands, I left Rolls-Royce (this suit) - responsible for the VIP programme - in late 2019, to live my bananas life.

I built POWER myself from scratch over the winter of 2019/2020, on a shoestring, ready to launch just as lockdown hit (all the bonkers suits).

POWER stands for empowerment not intimidation.

"I want every rider to believe that what they achieve on the bike, they can achieve off the bike. In an increasingly disconnected, lonely world where crippling mental health thrives, I want every ride to ignite connection. Connection creates community, sparks energy, encourages vulnerability and has the power to achieve lasting mind and body transformation."

Elaine Hart, POWER Founder

The POWER Garage is real, it’s raw, it’s where it all began, and it’s where it all begins. The Garage was designed to be a space to test kit and rides with friends during the Winter 2019, in the build towards the intended launch of POWER-To-You - workplaces, festivals, community spaces, private hire, in Spring 2020. The Garage became Home to POWER in the Garage rides until Covid-19 hit, and the world changed beyond recognition.

I invested in the kit required to take the business online which initially went against everything I wanted POWER to be. However, I believe I've found a way that stays true to POWER values, via the online medium. The Garage then became the stage for POWER Online - live rides via Zoom. I launched POWER Online in April 2020, in a ‘bike or no bike’ format - anyone and everyone can ‘ride’ e.g. walkers, runners, gardeners. Anyone with an internet connection, headphones and an open mind is welcome - emphasising POWER to simply be the decision to put down your phone for 30 or 45 minutes and ‘ride’. The bike or no bike concept reinforces my core intention for POWER to be more than a endorphin-boosting, sweat-inducing workout, POWER is physical and mental strength, on and off the bike.
