I've pretty much been hibernating this Christmas week, quietly dynamically incubating ideas of what I want to achieve in 2023. Whilst I'm not ready to leap like a salmon into it, I am incubating.

Energy levels are naturally low as we mirror winter, but like blowing on an ember to spark a fire - gently breeze through your heart gathering inspirations and stoke them. Write them down, create a vision board, diarise a call - any small step to bring ideas from concept into physical like putting a pin in a map - start there... Swap out the word procrastination and change it to 'dynamically incubating'! 😉

Gaslighting is a relatively new verb derived from a British play ‘Gas Light’ (1938). I first heard the term just a few years ago and I didn’t quite know what it meant – until I did!

A gaslighter is a person who presents a false version of events to create doubt, and confusion in another for their own benefit. This dynamic is only possible when the relationship is unequal - when the other is vulnerable – fearful of losses associated with any challenge, such as, he/she will leave me.

Gaslighting is passive aggressive at its best and can leave one feeling confused and diminished. While the word maybe new, the behaviour isn’t!

When we understand the mechanisms of what is happening and our role in it, is when we find choice. When we identify how and where we give our power away, is when we can reclaim it back.
