We were truly touched by some recent feedback about one of our activity sessions 💖
“I was visiting yesterday and Mum wanted to attend the cooking activity with Mandy so I sat and observed this. This wasn't 4 ladies and a carer doing an activity programme. I felt like it was 5 ladies enjoying doing something they loved. The conversation and fun banter between them all was a pleasure to watch. Mandy included each and every one of them and brought out the best of them. I loved seeing the person my Mum used to be. She came to life doing an activity which she had always loved and became lucid questioning whether the eggs were quite small so would need to add an extra one! In a world where we are all quick to complain, I would like to say well done to Mandy!” Nikki
Moments like this remind us how powerful meaningful activities can be in helping residents reconnect with the things they have always loved.
