Our lovely Wendy was taken to St Richard's Hospital Maternity Unit today, to donate 15 hand knitted Baby Hats that she has made during our 'Knit & Natter' group activity sessions.

The staff made Wendy, and the lovely Cath who took Wendy, feel so welcomed!

Now she's back home, and on to making the next lot of hats!

We're all a bit tired out now from a busy morning of Chair Exercises to music...
There was a few good moves to songs like Time Warp, Night Fever, Vogue by Madonna, the YMCA, and Agadoo, plus many more!
It was topped off by a stunning duet (🤣) from our Activities lady Sue, and our Manager Talisa, to Summer Nights from Grease! 🎤🎹

There's a misconception that living in a care home can be boring, however there's always something different to do, and no two days are the same!
For an idea of all the Activities that we are getting up to in January, take a look at a copy of our monthly newsletter!

Our monthly newsletter is lovingly prepared each month by our administrator, Koral, and it is a mix of different ideas put forward by our team at our Monthly Activity Planning Meeting.
It's a multi-departmental meeting, with input from our Kitchen Manager (as our foodie activities are so well loved!), our activity staff, admin and management team, so it is a real whole home approach to planning what's on with our Activities each month!

As it's the traditional end of Christmas today, here's a post of all the little things that made everyone's Christmas and New Year so lovely here at Dovecote View....
And once again we would like to say a huge thank you to all our team, as it is the little things you all do, that make a big difference to our residents, so thank you for all your hard work and efforts over the festive period, it truly is APPRECIATED xx

Feeling much better... Jingle eased himself back in to Dovecote life with a bit of knit and natter... he even got himself one of our 12 days of Christmas sweet treats freshly made by the kitchen! He is definitely feeling better 😋🥰
