Traditional Reflexology vs. Reproflexology® — What’s the Difference?
You might have heard me mention Reproflexology® — but what exactly makes it different from traditional reflexology?
I’ve been a reflexologist for 13 years, and as part of my ongoing training, I studied Reproflexology® (Fertility Reflexology) with Barbara Scott, one of the UK’s leading experts in fertility reflexology.
Here’s what sets the two approaches apart:
Traditional Reflexology
This is a holistic therapy that works with the reflex points on the feet (or hands /face) to support the whole body — promoting relaxation, stress relief, and overall balance.
It’s wonderful for general wellbeing, helping the body find its natural state of equilibrium.
Reproflexology® (Reproductive/Fertility Reflexology)
This is a specialised form of reflexology designed to support reproductive health
It uses structured, evidence-based protocols that focus on the endocrine (hormonal) and reproductive systems, helping to optimise natural fertility, support assisted conception, and regulate hormonal balance.
Each treatment is tailored to the client’s menstrual cycle, fertility journey, or reproductive stage — whether trying to conceive naturally, preparing for IVF, or supporting hormonal wellbeing.
The goal is not only to reduce stress, but also to bring the reproductive system into balance, improving the body’s ability to function at its best.
